I wasn't familiar with Anna Neagle before but she seems a gracious and thoughtful person. I will look up her films.

A good person and versatile actress. Very popular middle of the 20th century. Lots of films to watch.

      Dear Claire, 6 March 2020.
Anna Neagle did not make a lot of movies in the 1940s to I think 1960s. The movies she was an actress (not actor) in are very good.
      God Bless,
      Juan.

@@juandalton9172 The word actor can be used though regardless of gender.

Have a look at ‘I live in Grosvenor Square’. My favourite Anna movie. Such a fine understated and underrated actor.

Such a very fine and modest actress. A true lady. Yes, you certainly had that “True Something” Anna. So different from today’s ghastly, foul mouthed, Feminist, “Me Too” women “stars”.

I was looking at pictures of her when young, and she looked a lot like Ginger Rogers.

A question that rather betrays either your age or a lack of theatrical interest or knowledge.

@@hoop5824 My point is, what was your point? By which I mean your point in clicking onto an interview with someone who, because of your comparative youth and obvious disinterest and lack of knowledge of theatrical personalities of the past (and probably the present) you`d never heard of, simply to leave a derisory one word comment. If you can actually bestir yourself, you might type her name into the browser and read about her long and distinguished career. But that`s unlikely given your lack of interest, which of course raises the question of what you`re doing on this page in the first place. That`s my point.

@@hoop5824 The point that you were totally ignorant of the existence of this very famous and affectionately remembered theatrical personality is hardly one to trumpet or draw attention to.. Of course though, the positive thing is now you know that this page is one devoted to nostalgia of the years in which Thames Television was in operation - long before your time and plainly none of it of any interest to you - you won`t have any reason to return to it. I`m sure we`ll all look forward to that...
