thank you so much! your video saved my math project! i did the russian peasant method and forgot to add the number i was multiplying by in your case 11...without your video i couldnt have done my math project! thanks so much! ( this is my moms youtube channel)
The explanation of the "why" rabbit trailed really bad when the whole formula hadn't been finished. Thanks for the video anyways. Maybe leave the "whys and hows" to the end for anyone wanting more clarification?
Agreed. I'd use the phrase "down the rabbit hole" for the full C. L. Dodgson points, but same concept. Also, 11 is one of the easiest numbers to multiply by in your head, except for 10, because it is very easy both to multiply by ten and divide by ten, the rest is adding.
alright so basically ignore everything when she starts with the 4 times 6, and do what she said before, which was pretty straight forward. then the last numbers on the right, the ones not crossed: add them up you get the answer for 11 ties 36
Мы не так вычисляем... Есть более простой способ, так называемый "столбик" We do not multiply the numbers by this method. There is a simpler method. (I'm from Russia)

Hi, just know I readed to you. Can you explain me better which is the exactly method if you are from Russia? Thx

This was the ancient Ethiopian multiplication method
Yeah, the Russians "borrowed it" from the Ethiopians.
