  • I had the chance to buy a set of HDV-Z96 LED Video Light kits from F&V Professional Lights and thought I'd share a little with you.
For more information and to purchase the HDV-Z96 LED Video Light kit: amzn.to/2wDKLCm
I've tried several different Video lights and for the money, power options & durability these lights deliver!
Color Corrected to 5600K and with their easy to snap-on Tungsten color correcting filter, you should be able to get great results with this light!
As someone so KINDLY pointed out that I left most of the important information out of this review... so there's some info that might help.
    Shot on a Panasonic AG-HMC150 @ 1/60th of a sec at F3.4
Effective ISO: 500 (no fixed ISO on this camera)
Three Z-96 lights set up 5' from me at 3/4 power (each unit produces 50w at full power)

Nice review and I like your music choice. It's great to see four of these LED lights connected together. I only have the one Z96 but it came with one of those adapters but no instruction sheet of any kind so it's nice to see how that works. Granted, I just bought mine and you made this video nine years ago! So, I'd say I'm definitely using old technology but I'm still hopeful it'll help the quality of my UA-cam videos. Thanks again!

Hello, you mention in your video that there is a 4 light kit? I have looked for this kit to no avail. Could you please send me a link to this kit? I would also need the adapter that hooks all of the lights to the same battery source. Is that included in this "kit"?
    Thank you!

Good video. How much for the 4 kit light? Do you sell barn doors with it?

could you complete the most important information which is missed? The exposure of the camera. What ISO you used, what f-stop, what shutter speed, how far the led were from you? Was that maximum power of LEDs?

For Canon camcorder, all you need is a "mini-hot shoe to standard" adapter, Pearstone CSA-II for a about $19.

It's $300.00 on Amazon, but I can build the exact same thing four CN 160 dimmable lights, four 1/4 screws, one 10 feet pvc 1-inch pipe, four "t" fittings, and a "plus" fitting for $140 or less. It's a nice light kit, but for $300...when I can build it for less.

I'm not so sure about the claim made about the color correction and more. I looks greenish in this video.

Not sure why you'd want to use this in a professional setting as you have four times the points of failure and four time more fiddling on set? Nice idea but I think I'd rather use a big 500 led single light. Thanks for the review even though you have no body :)

I bought thi.s light direct from China for about $75 plus shipping. It's great. Don't pay more than $80 bucks for this. Some places charge $200
