I like afros character development in this arc. He's always been a "sonic music fits the games well, but it's nothing I would put on a playlist" kinda guy.
However now he's managed to evolve. Just like ash Ketchum who was finally able to win a world championship, afro defeated his mental block. "I'm blasting this shit in my car" I almost teared up at that part.

viewmann200 It’s funny since in other Sonic games like Sonic Unleashed (which is a good Sonic game), Sonic Adventure (also good Sonic game), or Sonic games that are just level based, most people will tend to focus on the mandatory stuff since that is the “fun” stuff.
For me Frontiers breaks that trend since the Cyber Space levels to me, are meh at best and harmless at worst. They are really only there to remind people that we are playing a Sonic Platformer. The stuff out on the islands (next to the bosses) is the best part to play.
It’s just a shame we haven’t gotten Big’s Big Fishing Adventure 3 yet. This game comes close.

Lmao since when? Sonic fans are so hostile and aggressive. There are so many core issues with this game yet sonic fans are on so much copium that they bitched their way into thinking sonic frontiers is potentially goty material.
Sonic is treated like it's on its own scale of quality. The games have been such consistent trash that when something is even mediocre it's treated like a revival of the franchise.
Sonic Mania was the first good sonic game in a LONG time and it wasn't even made by sonic team...

Speed upgrades increase your base speed in the over world without max rings. The speed you get with full rings is the fastest Sonic will be, and if you get speed leveled to 99, you’ll boost that fast all the time even if you don’t have full rings. Those upgrades sadly don’t affect the cyberspace stages at all😭

I personally like the story, from the mystery factor of the ancients, to the origins of the chaos emeralds, to the build up, how the echidnas were influenced by the ancients and their relationship with one another, the references to older games and characters, but my favorite is the interactions between sonic and his friends and how SEGA themselves acknowledge their growth through their conversations. Thank you Ian Flynn

unleashed's story is mid, it's just a chaos emerald collect simulator, it's decent but honestly it doesn't have much going for it.
The only downfall was the secret final boss… but honestly it wasn’t that bad. It was different and they took a shot on it. It didn’t hit but honestly this whole game was a wild shot and 9/10 hit. The final boss sucked and there wasn’t enough development for it. Definitely the best sonic game since probably Adventure 2.

I beat the game and maxed out the speed, but no the speed from free roam doesn't cross over to the cyberspace levels. Also ps: when you're in the 2D levels, I think u already noticed but u run way slower than u would in 3D and unfortunately I think it's intentional 💀

I've been 100% the islands (collectibles and side quests) before continuing the main plot, so I've only just finished the 3rd island. I will say that the side plot (so far at least) is interesting to me because I like seeing characters interact and develop. I also only find the main plot interesting because of the mystery factor.

Love watching your frontier gameplay just sad you missed the party animation where you yeat the wyvern against a mountain and when you cyloop him, sonic wraps him up in chains of light so wyvern can’t move
The fact that this game doesn't have a Boss Rush or the ability to refight bosses is utterly *CRIMINAL!!!* The boss fights are the absolute best part about this game and the fact that its locked to the story pisses me off so damn much!!

Imagine a Flash game like this with an Arkhamesque story. Haven't played Sonic in a long time, but I might check this one out
The big thing for me is that the animations in this game look absolutely shit, combined with the bad camera angles you can't even follow what's happening in the whole boss fight. It feels like you just mash buttons and hope it works out since you can't see what's actually happening constantly clipping through everything including the camera.

I like the story. Its weak in parts but it has high highs and low lows. People being like "story sucks" ended up pushing the team away from stories and the sotry of this game kinda suffered cause they chose to tell it lightly rather thanfocus on it more and expand on the important details and tell it linear.

I just watched all parts back to back to back. I never knew I needed that laugh, I had such a good time watching this. Like this game totally revamped Sonic for me. Especially the nods to DragonBall. Like the Second Boss Battle Music was amazing. Like these boss themes are Legitimately heavy af as a Primary Metal Music listener. I was about the music 150%

Personally the Cyberspace stages don't bother me that much. There are some stages that are a full past sonic game stage in later islands like stage 2-6, 3-1, i believe 3-3 aswell and a couple others i'm missing. But this game is a good step into a bright future for this series IMO.
the trick is to explore around before going to each story objective, let the mini level bits push you in whatever direction, and make sure to get memory tokens as seen them around, this way it never really gets that repetitive because i never had to go back and specifically hunt for more tokens. Made the game Very enjoayble.

Afro saying sonic music is mid then liking this is crazy. It's on par with other games. I feel like he just doesn't know the bangers. SA1, SA2, Sonic R, Sonic CD, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Unleashed, even Sonic 06 had some bangers.
