Slowpoke Rodriguez was originally a character from the original shorts, meant to be the opposite of his cousin Speedy, (slower and dumber) in every way, however would still end up winning against any threat, either through hypnosis or from packing heat. He became pretty obscure after a couple of appearances. I'm glad they brought back an otherwise retired character in this way.
When Space Jam 2 says it can't make characters like Pepe Le Pew work because of modern standards and whatnot, the Looney Tunes Show proves otherwise. Sure, I doubt people loved every interpretation of the classic characters (e.g., Taz being a dog for Bugs and Daffy), but it found a place for Pepe and Slowpoke Rodriguez while still keeping elements of the source material in tact. It doesn't go for everyone, but they did try to implement all the classic characters somehow, even if only as cameos or short appearances.

Mine is that the show features the characters post retirement/after breaking ties with WB for good. Like, after Back in Action flopped, WB might've requested even crazier ideas to keep the LT relevant but the characters weren't very interested in something like Loonatics so they all quit and settled in the suburbs. And with SJ2 introducing that whole serververse thing, it points out the idea that all recent LT productions were made / set there... except this one which is where all the OG stars ended up.
I could not believe that they actually put Slowpoke into the show XD I had not seen him in YEARS and the moment that he started speaking and it wasn't Speedy's voice I was like "no...that isn't...did they actually?..."

It would later come out that our then-current Prime Minister David Cameron was the one who had said "relations".
I think the reason this Lola wasn’t in Space Jam 2 is because of its status as a sequel, emphasis on *sequel.* 99% of sequels don’t have characters suddenly change their personalities, so even though the Lola presented there is nowhere near the calibre of what we see here, why would they have included the latter over the former, especially since it’s become increasingly obvious that this one was something that the franchise has long since moved on from no matter how much we stan her?
