I just wanted to say that this is the 1st video I've seen of a deva cut done on 2a or 2b hair. I'm really happy that you showed your results. Personally, I thought I didn't need a deva cut but I tried it anyway. The deva cut did wonders for me. It made my hair defined than normal. I think it's because of the layers though lol. Some people believe that 2a hair is the same as 1a hair but it's not. My friend has 1a hair and it's hard for her to maintain a curl if she does it without heat. For reference, I have a mixture of 2a and 2b. I'll keep getting a deva cut because to me it is worth it and I never use a straightener or curling iron anyways. I like to embrace my natural texture.

I have a similar wave and I was waffling on if a DEVA cut would make a difference, but I really like how yours turned out and I think the layers will help me deal with my long hair and getting more wave in. Thanks for sharing this!

I am still trying to figure it out, my waves love to fall by the end of day almost no matter what. I feel like I have the potential to be a 2b but I just haven’t figured out how to get there yet lol.

You're so welcome! It's so hard to tell what curl pattern you are haha. Some people get tighter curls over time, but I haven't :( haha
