- This is, without a doubt, the most difficult accomplishment I have ever managed to achieve. This took over 50 hours of routing, practice, and attempts. It required the determination to persevere in the face of both countless odds and constant defeat. But what is life without a little challenge?

Great job ! I'm starting to grind farewell as I just got every 24 goldens. It took me about 120 hours to get there, but I feel like I'll have to spend the same amount just for that berry...

Sorry for the lack of music. Due to the amount of time this took me, I would often listen to podcasts or talk to my friends in discord while I played, so I turned off in game music.

Bravo! You play very well and I'm trying to goldens of all the episodes right now, but farewell is very difficult, I think I'll never do it.
I thought I would never do it as well, but if you are willing to whittle your death count down you can grind it out!

He uploaded the video a month before farewell got released. I wonder though if he had done it if the dlc was out at that point. I was surprised that he did Hollow Knight, did the fifth pantheon with all four bindings and said something like "yeah was pretty difficult but not thaaaat bad" when I was expecting him to have a meltdown like in the old super meat boy video (that is gone now).

The reason I did this was actually because I was waiting until my friend was finished talking to tell him I needed to focus on the rhythm. Also, I paused because pausing syncs the rhythm with the blocks, which can sometimes be off when you first enter that area.

What is that skip you do at 2:58? It skips a room that i just can’t manage to get down consistent enough.
they smuggle a double dash and jelly to that room, then do the trick shown to skip all the keys. it's intended by the devs for speedrunning and golden

Jokes aside, well played.
If you follow my pattern, it becomes a lot easier. Trying to improvise got me killed 3 times, so I spent around 20 minutes developing a pattern I liked and memorizing it.

imagine you and someone playing in the same room, you complete farewell deathless, an then he complains about the difficulty of something like chapter 6. What would you do?
1:say skill issue
2:encourage them
3:offer to complete it for him
I mean, chapter 6 was hard for me the first time I played it. This game just takes a lot of time, practice, and dedication. I might joke that it was a skill issue, but I would definitely encourage them to keep going. I wouldn't complete it for them because they miss out on the satisfaction of overcoming the challenge, the story, and the improvement which will be needed for the rest of the game.
This gave me sweats watching it.

ok so did you not sleep for 10 days or something or did you just go afk to sleep bc the speedrun clock is at over 250 hours which is over 10 days
That is the speedrun time for the entire file. When I started grinding for the farewell golden, I had somewhere between 180 and 190 hours on the file from getting every other red berry and golden berry.
