It is so easy to prepare but yes it does require mastering or as i usually say that it is a 'Technical Dish' to cook Rice, water, sugar n ghee (clarified butter) r the main ingredients but their ratio, timings at when to use them n cooking method r main points to be taken care of. But believe me when ur serving perfectly cooked Zarda with all its colorful toppings in ur dawats u do feel quite like a celebrity chef 🥰

Please describe how you 'boil' the rice beforehand? Some people, like me, put exact measurement of water (e.g. 1.5 cups of water to a cup of rice) and don't throw any water away. A lot of people boil in extra water and throw away extra water after rice is cooked, like is mostly done for biryani. Please describe how much water you boil your rice in?

I tried the zarda. and measured everything . However there was a lot of ghee left over and I had to take it out. I think you should revisit the quantity of ghee and reduce it from 1/2 kg to at least 400 or 350 gm
