I have a very large goiter with with multiple nodules these are confirmed my scans trad 5 that have solid findings my voice has changed the surgeon wants to take the whole thyroid out
How was your diagnosis treated and how is your health now? I have a similar situation with my thyroid. I am trying to decide the best way to approach my situation.
Because of other health issues and the specialist told me I'd be in intensive care on a machine. Hopefully they would get it right and not cut into glands as that's 12 tablets a day and if accidentally damage the voice box I'll have a tube in my throat to talk . Decided not to go ahead but just get regular scans etc
@@theresemarshall2375 Are they benign or cancerous? Can he just remove the nodules without removing the entire gland? I have multiple ones as well. I will have mine biopsied soon. I was just curious. Thanks.
@@pacs0508 Interested to know how your biopsy went. I had one done 4 years ago and it was benign, however, since then my thyroid has enlarged drastically with 4 more nodules showing up, hoarseness and feeling faint/ lightheaded. Today I had a follow up ultrasound bc of the symptoms and the tech showed me that bc my thyroid is so enlarged, it’s pushing my carotid artery back… So I really just want them to take the damn thing out! At this point, I have 4-5 nodules, my thyroid continues to get larger every year and I am over it.
