  • Part one of a ride to Holmbridge and Holme Moss on my Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
Riding the lanes around Holmfirth there is some incredible scenery and tiny villages to explore.

This is what motorcycles are all about. Great videos of just enjoying the machine and views instead of UA-cam reviewers complaining about a 350cc not having enough power or shilling you to buy an insta360 from their affiliate links. Keep the videos coming sir along with your South Yorkshire accent. 😃 Looking forward to taking my CBT and getting on that journey. 👍

Bang on the money with that comment! That's exactly what it is for me, the road the views and the bike. Even IF, I end up monetising in the future I won't ever do affiliate stuff, it just doesn't interest me. I'd rather just do what I set out to do, and that is to share the roads I like to ride on and the bikes I use to do it. Good luck with the CBT, once you get on the journey of motorcycles it won't ever stop! 👍

Hi Kelvin, thanks for the comment! It took me quite a while to get comfortable talking on my videos, and even longer to edit them. I hate the sound of my own voice, who doesn't! It's getting easier though and you guys seem to enjoy it so I'll continue. The video and mic set up was a bit of a challenge at first but once I'd worked it out it just fell into place. Thanks again and stay safe 👍

Glad you enjoyed , and yes , the roads leave a lot to be desired. For a longer ride I continue from Holme Moss, along the the B6105 road to Glossop and then along the Snake turning off for coffee at Ladybower and then onto Strines at Mortimer Road and pie and chips at the Waggon and Horses at Langsett and then home via Flouch and Birdsedge. So ride safe and all the best David. :)

Great vid, ridden Bare Bones so many times. You can turn right near the end and cut through to the Carding Shed (Oil Can cafe)

Looks like you should invest in a pair of Hagon shocks on our roads nice vid I think you're the first video I've seen on Holm Moss pity the Snake is being repaired then round the Strines 😊

@@julianrose810 I agree on the shocks, they are a bit rough on our terrible roads. A job for over the winter maybe 🤔 Glad you enjoyed the video, I'll probably do the Snake next year now. That's if they ever finish the work on it, the road is apparently slipping similar to what happened to Mam Tor....

Good crisp clear video with good clear crisp sound no wind noise
What helmet are you using that you said is comfortable
Thanks for the ride along and regards from Florida 🦩🦩

Hi there, thanks for the comment. The helmet I use is an Arai Debut V (Pretty much the same as the Profile V) It's supremely comfortable. The microphone is a cheap Amazon special and tucked into the cheekpad behind the material.
Sometimes you may hear a little whistling when my visor is up but I'm working on that. I reckon a deadcat on the mic should cure it.

I like the 1970s sunshine look of that bike, and the all black engine gives it a taller appearance. Road joints are terrible round there, get your front wheel in one of them and it's a white knuckle ride.

I actually went to look at the polished engine casing version of the Interceptor. I didn't think I could commit to all the polishing on that alloy. Then I saw the one I've got.
Apparently the Barcelona Blue colour is supposed to mimic the 70's bike that were sold in California?
You're right about the roads up there too, it was a bit of a challenge in those ruts, especially with thinner profile tyres.

@@kelvinharrison6702 good idea. I'll look into doing that, maybe a GPX file created on Basecamp. I've been tinkering with that recently. I'll have a go 👍
