We want tax breaks, not tax the guy next door even more. How does that benefit the nurse or plumber Liberals are talking about?
I don't see the argument the Liberals have, but also a tax break would be a disaster on its own. Canada'a infrastructure is rotting everywhere and taxes need to exist to fix them. Besides, your tax break is gonna go straight towards a new vehicle because your current one is gonna get lost down a 10 foot pothole, if it's not washed away by a broken aqueduct.
Based on the promises of all the parties, I'm just happier staying home. All failures!

I am not wealthy. My three rental properties, that I renovated and built with my own hands, constitutes my retirement income. My disdain for Freeland and Trudeau could not be at a higher level.
Your rental income isn’t a capital gain. I’d think you’d know that if you really have rental properties.
The property you built for $300k and is now worth $1M is subject to capital gains tax. But you’ll still pocket a lot of cash when you sell.
@@McLovin1759except his retirement just dropped by 10s if not hundreds of thousands of dollars. Likely causing this fella to have to work for years and years longer, or be unable to help out his children/grandchildren, likely both.

They referenced the income from the properties, suggesting rental income.
Anyways, if he/she/they vote for the CPC, they don’t mind working until 67.
Pierre voted to raise the retirement age to 67 the last time they were in power. Liberals lowered it back.
@@remydavis1502 Multi-millionaire Pierre & his Conservative colleagues raised the retirement age to 67 during their decade in power. Thankfully Liberals restored it to 65. Poilievre and his conservative colleagues had the worst economic & jobs creation performance of any CDN gov since WW2. They inherited a $12+ billion surplus and turned it into a deficit in less than 2 yrs (before the recession hit.)
They failed to deliver on affordability - 800,000 affordable homes were lost - the price of housing went up 60%. If Conservatives had been in power the last 9 yrs - we would be in arguable worse shape.

During Trudeaus infomercial on the capital gains tax he specifically stated he is targeting Canadians in the over 60 age bracket so I hear our childrens inheritance as most homes, cottages are passed to surviving family members ....so I can say yes this will affect my vote

Should do like USA and tax 100% of it not just 67%. Then give everyone a bigger personal deductible among other things. Middle class wages cant deduct 50% of their income neither should the rich.
