Our next release is scheduled for Thursday, March 18th! It's a flurry of activity here getting everything ready! We had hoped to have a release this week but so many different things converged at once this week. (Our son's birthday - we knew that one was coming 😂, medical issues with our dog - waiting on biopsy results, extra tax work needing done ASAP, and we're also getting a tornado shelter this week - will block access to go up to the studio. I'm so excited to finally have a shelter!) Thank you for being patient while we maneuver through this life and try to run a business at the same time. 😀
I feel that! We live in Texas and had a couple of burst pipes during the winter storm last month. We’re finally getting our house fixed, and it’s not very helpful for home business, but hopefully the results will be worth it!
Thank you, dearest Holly. You are very kind and generous to share your recipe with us. I've referred some South African soapers to your channel. Stay safe and hugs to Riggs 🐕😊😘
It is all going on for you! HB to your son, hope your pup is Ok and thanks so much for these cuties! They are just gorgeous! I really enjoy your kind and happy soul that comes across in your videos! God bless honey 💖
Oh, I am soooo thankful you pushed everything back a week!!! So much more convenient, and after a pay day!!! Best wishes with everything, Holly!!! Thank you for all you care and hard work!!
Thank you Helen! That makes me feel a lot better. I've been stressing about not making the 11th date. I was up for hours in the night just wrestling with my own self over it.
I think I just watched you make my mom's Mother's day present! Might have to get her a few of them! Can't wait for your shop to open, but dreading having to pick between the soaps... why do you gotta be so good?!?!?!?!
I just watched your video here and wondered if you do dish soap for doing dishes I would them bubbles in my dishwasher doing my dishes that would feel so nice on my hands I just loved it thank you so much for sharing I appreciate it
Very nice I so wanted to smell that water when you put the fizzy in lol love how dense the bubbles were great job Holly the hearts look gorgeous. Thanks for sharing. 💕💕
Thank you bunches! I am just hoping, hoping! At least we can quit thinking about cancer if it comes back negative on cancer. But we have all of his other issues to tackle head-on. He's having what we think is an allergic reaction and today his eye is swelling up. Vet won't reply to call...we're getting pretty upset.
Holly, they look so cute! I like the fragrances you picked for this release too! Such fun summery scents. It makes me wish I still had a bathtub. Unfortunately 5 years ago when Wayne updated our bathroom, I chose a huge 4x6 ft. Shower instead! It has a nice bench seat and everything, but no relaxing baths! We did it in case my MS ever got so bad I was in a wheelchair, it'd make it easier to get in and out. I do miss a good soak though, lol! Have a wonderful week! Jill Gross
Thank you Jill! I love making bath bombs/fizzies and I love to demo them...but I am not a bath person so they aren't something that I make a habit of using. I wish I was more of a bath person because they're so amazing!
Thanks Holly. I’m a year late finding this video but glad I did. We have very low hum it’s where we are and it’s not practical to humidify my large working space so thanks for the tip about the 70% IPA. My last batch was a dry disintegrated disaster but now I know how to get off to a better start.
I bought some Biolefin and it seems to work pretty well. The shrinking is a little tricky for me sometimes with soap bars, but I love touting that the "plastic" is biodegradable as that is a main focal point of my shop is it being ecofriendly with packaging and ingredients as much as possible. The bath bombs/fizzies are adorable! I'm debating on trying my hand at them sometime!
I thought about making bath bombs, but after watching a few videos and seeing the mess that gets made...I couldn’t do it. I’d be constantly cleaning up after one. But man, those are super cute. Makes me want to grab my Kindle and a hot bath.
Hello! By the way can I ask you a question? Can I substitute the cream of tartar for Epsom Salt? I have some Epsom Salt and wanted to try making some with my daughter! Thanks😊
Hello 🙂 You don't need the cream of tartar to make the bath bombs but they will help to make them harder. I have to be able to ship them so it's a must for me. Epsom salts can be very nice in bath bombs but keep in mind they may draw moisture to the bath bomb. Some people like to grind the epsom salts also.
I was getting all of my containers from Webstaurant Store. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend them due to very poor customer service. You can check restaurant supply stores, Amazon, and even Sam's Club. They are usually called Food Storage Containers. Thanks!
I love watching your videos, and am working on my own bath and body product line, and I've got a question about the coconut milk powder you use (I thought I had posted it here but I don't see it!). Here in the UK, it seems as if every brand of coconut milk powder is slightly different, in that the coconut milk powder contains not just coconut milk powder but also other ingredients. Would you let me know, please, the exact contents of the coconut milk powder you use? Thank you-I love how enthusiastic you are all the time, it's infectious!
Hi Rachel! I see your comment on another heart bath bomb video. ☺️ Coconut Milk Powder is hard to figure out sometimes. It always contains other ingredients. I do add all of it to my listings and my labels. I typically use coconut milk powder from Wholesale Supplies Plus but it's not a vegan option to my knowledge. It has one of the smaller ingredient lists though.
Thank you! I have made some with epsom salts. It's more of just a fun additive as you'd really need the whole bomb to be espom salt to have any effect.
I think every location and every mold needs something just a little bit different. That is why it is so hard to use shared recipes. What works for one may not work for someone else. The base amount should be fine but you may need to tweak the alcohol.
@@moriversoap So what determines a great mixture as for moisture, when you squeeze it together should it stay in a nice firm ball? Sorry for all the questions, I understand bath bombs are a little finicky 😆 I’m a newbie to making them
@@kizzeycalvert2345 It's no problem. Bath Bombs are difficult. It took me just making batch after batch in a short time period to really grasp it. You want it to feel cold and a bit crunchy, as if it starts to harden already. It will pull away from the bowl when mixing and will also form a shape to the bowl. From there you want to be able to squeeze it, drop it from a distance, and tap it with your thumb and have it stay together. Otherwise, it might be powdery. If it gets too wet though, it will likely stick in the mold and it will settle/sink out of shape if it has a rounded bottom. It's not an easy thing to figure out that's for sure. My best advice would be to just try different levels of moisture and keep good notes and then evaluate to determine the best one.
@@moriversoap thank you!! You’re awesome 🤩 I’ll keep playing around. I’ve had the mixture stick to the moulds and come apart in the middle so I’ll try a drier batch. I also haven’t used a mixer either, just my hands. Can you still use your every day mixer for this or is it best to have a separate one? Like how soap making it is best for separate jugs and utensils. Thank you
@@kizzeycalvert2345 A mixer might help for sure. Once you 'steal' the mixer from the kitchen, you really need to keep it away from food items. I hope you can figure out the moisture. Maybe just make a batch and add a certain amount of alcohol, make one or two, add more alcohol, make one or two, etc.. That seemed to help me a lot.
