Table Tennis: 2010 Asia vs. Euro Allstar-Series in Beijing (CHN); Day 2 Match 1 - Joo Se Hyuk vs. Jorgen Persson; April 15 2010
Jorgen persson is a legend.
Persson the evergreen... his forehand loop is so consistent.
I´m really impressed by Persson. He played a perfect game. I know he was always very strong against defense. Very consistent, but that´s not all. I think his placement is incredible, leaving Joo no chance to attack. Great topspins, short balls, very flat, extreme ancles...
This match is a lecture how to play a perfect game against defenders.
WOW! Persson is getting old, but you can't tell by the way he plays. Some legends will never die!!!
Jorgen Persson was a big hero 2000 when he managed to beat both number 1 and 2 of china in the team event
@DKPOWA That defender is ITTF World Rank No.9 now, and he attacks when it possible no less terrific than other great attackers.
so crazy...
first round(13/4) europe won 4:1,,,
second round (15/4) asia won 4:1.... ==> overall 10:10
final single match with players picked by drawing... mizutani jun won 11:10..
epic comeback.... ovtcharov should hv won against yangzi today.... =.=....
thx for sharing man
Great match ! persson is the best !
jajaja nothing like old school players, i think Schlager was thinking how can Persson beat Joo in that way anyway amazing match :D!
It is very interesting, Joo is among the toppest player in the world. But Persson still maintains his excellent skill playing against defensive player.
nice match. Keep going on Jorgen and train hard !
@Sasotzu: maybe one of the best against defensive choppers ;-)
woah waldner aint playing but jorgen is?
2010 and persson's still getting off. gotta love old school players
@blitzpcs No...not really... If that was true, then we'd have quite a bit of old people in the top 20 and not so many young guys dominating...
@rickdudesterman
The strategy spells patience… it’s absolutely crucial when you’re playing def specialists. And… remember what spin you did, because you’ll get it back twice as hard and reversed.
And Jörgen does everything right in this match.
I wonder if people understand how devilish difficult it must be to play against Joo Se Hyuk…?
He’s not just a def specialist, he has excellent offensive too!
Can someone put into words what Persson's strategy was and why he won that? Is it just because he's consistent?
1:41 Schlagerrrrrrrrrr!!!!
@Tobiasdaneels LOL HAHAHA my bad, im actually a math&phys major LOL
jorgen is still the best! ;)
