Man that is a sick collection. For the time being the Mezza is still my favorite and I love the clean, even with an overdrive in front it's beautiful sounding.

Jarrod, been a subscriber for awhile now and when i watched you going through these 5 best amps. I saw you playing really good getting in there, your hands seemed super relaxed and again just digging in there and looked great! It never ceases to amaze me how we all hear tone from an amp. The 2 most anticipated amps I bought and returned or sold was 1 mezza trinity. 2 jp Mesa. Props to the clean channel on the jp, it’s stellar. Biggest regret? selling my Cameron modded plexi. Currently never selling my omega grano or my purple nightmare.

The Mezza is my favourite amongst the five. It's sounds the most aggressive through my monitors. My next favourite was the Revv. Both amps were brighter than the others.

Great choices! :) I honestly thought the Splawn would make the cut though. But after the Leviathan, I was like ''There's only one left...100% it will be the Mezzabarba'' haha Personally, call me crazy, but one amp I can't see myself getting rid of (after owning a lot of amps over the years) is my KT77 Peavey 3120. For the price, I still think it's hard to beat. I love the clean on that thing as much as the other two channels. Yes it needs some tweaking because the eq is active, but you can get great tones out of it (especially if you put a lower gain preamp tube in V2, it helps the amp a lot). I don't even use a boost with it either! The only thing negative for me is that it can be really noisy, but that's about it. Every time I plug my guitar in it, it reminds me how much I love that amp.
This is why your my favourite gear reviewer. your honesty goes a long way with me brother. " the clean channel on the soldano is a p.o.s " haha love it.

I had two late 60's Marshall Major 200w amps. Wish I hadn't sold them.
Completely in love with the Redseven leviathan, man that amp sounds HUGE
And I saw that they now released an amp that Is basically the leviathan with the addition of the clean Channel of the Duality 100. Really interesting
Yeah I saw that as well. That amp looks like a total beast. With the added clean channel, it can do it all now.

I have said I'm never selling particular pieces of gear so many times I lose count. But that "dire Straights" thing you mentioned always seems to find me and to date has cost me a 57' Gibson Les Paul 3-pick up Black Beauty reissue (which by the way, was my first of many Les Pauls and I was instantly hooked for life), a gorgeous 2006 Wine Red Flame top Les Paul Standard, an entire rack unit that included a Pristine Mesa/Boogie Quad Pre-amp(which are now hard to find in good condition and have increased astronomically in price) and a first generation Marshall 9200 6L6 version Dual Monobloc Power amp that together sounded like the Voice of god. Even though I needed the money at the time, I still regret that I didn't find some other way to obtain the cash without parting with these items. I have since learned to never say "I'll never part with this piece of gear". For me it has been a sure-fire way to ensure that I end up having to.

What reverb and delay do you use?

Must be pretty tough to pick 5 out of that stack, so great job doing the painful part!
I dont own 5 amps, so instead I will list the 5 amps I will never sell after I acquire them:
1. Redstuff Minotaurus - Custom made in Germany, absolute killer hand made, but $$$.
2. Randall 667 - 6 channels of whatever the heck you can think of.
3. Revv Gen 120 - Pure modern metal perfection.
4. Roland JC-120 - Because it's more metal than you think
5. ENGL Savage or Randall Satan - since they are close enough to samesies and it's hard to get a wide selection of amps downunder.

Stealth is just incredible. I don't know how they made such a great amp. Also, what IS the best clean channel you own? The JP 2C?
The JP-2C clean is awesome but the Herbert clean is the best

Can confirm with Jarred. Out of all the high-end amps I've played over the years, the Herbert's clean was my favorite.

@@realtruenorth Not for me. I don't need all the extra features of the Savage. Or the extra cost. Fireball has a great clean channel, and I can make the Fireball sound like the Savage with overdrive and EQ pedals.

I finally got the EVH stealth the 6L6 are way better then the El34 I couldn’t find any harshness on the blue channel it’s a quality clean channel oh got me the echoplex and Kirk Hammett wah where’s a good place to put the wah in front or through the EX loop ??
I don’t have all the equipment needed for the EVH delay you got to review that delay it looks pretty awesome
Put the wah in front.
Unless you're using a volume pedal always run wah as the very first pedal in your chain.
My two new pedals no matter we’re I put them in the chain in front or through fax loop they give a loud high pitch ringing so I’m sending them back and getting me the tonex with the tonex do I need a reamp box ?

Its also a great amp. I sold it to a friend who liked it more than I did. It was a 50 watt. I mainly want 100 watt amps now

I sold that to a friend several months ago. It's a good amp, it sounds good, but the feel for me was a little too loose.

You may have sold me on the Mesa. Whoa. Very appealing. ...and the Mezzabarba. I need to leave, immediately. You are dangerous! (I've owned a Fender Bassman, a Musicman HD 130 and currently an Ashdown Geezer Butler Head of Doom, driven by an Effectrode Blackbird box).
The JP-2C is an amazing amp. IMHO the best Mesa has to offer
Every amp sounded nasty & gnarly.. They pretty much sounded the same.. They sounded like the same guy playing them.. Tone really is ingrained in each individual player.
Sell the MESA before it catches on fire! 😆

He is doing the same thing Ola Englund does, show us what the amps can do to help us pick which one we wanna buy. Not about flexing.
5 amps that I would never sell. 1) Crate blue voodoo 120 watt 2) Randall RG40 10" combo amp 3) Crate GX212XL 2x12 80 watt combo amp 4) Line 6 Ulra HD head 5) Peavey Vypr 60 watt combo. Those are 5 amps that would crush anything you have here. Just because something has the letters of M E S A on it does not make it an amp worth keeping. Homeowners insurance with fire coverage would preclude any Mesa product being stored within the physical boundaries of the titled domecile known hereafter as "HOME"
The real winner here is the EVH ICONIC. For the money it is 456,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times the amp any of these overpriced bloated amps. The IConic cuts thru the mix, sounds good on its own and makes everything in your life better. No woman ever has said.......Man I like Mesa Amps. It has never happened. Women have commented on a regular basis that they love and admire the ICONIC. Women love the EVH ICONIC and lets face facts: We all play guitar so we can touch women in an inappropriate manner. Facts are facts.
And let's not forget that Mesa is a horrible company. And Neural DSP is an atrocious company. Line 6 is the best company in the World after Crate.

@@TONEWARSgearshow it's an underrated amp I like it I tend to go for the amps that are built well Diezel seems to have rally high quality builds mesa also plus they throw in a ton of options the Soldano so much hype and a lot of guys say it's a high gain monster, so I went all out bought the snakeskin slo 100 in my opinion that's false marketing plus the thing costs an arm and a leg not fair for the guys who save and or trade a ton of gear to get the dud but thank you for the vids you and tony McKenzie are my go to guys for real reviews plus guys who can actually play not like that embarrassing fool louis Torres
It's so funny how the Hagen is getting traction now. It's been my favorite Diezel and probably my favorite amp in my collection.
