    Great detailed review 👍
    I have been on a similar journey camera wise. Started to learn with the M50 mk1. Upgraded to the M6 mk2 a year later and built up a very nice travel friendly ef-m lens line-up (11-22, 18-150, sigma trio). I absolutely love shooting with my M6. Great tactile experience.
    But the 18-150 is quite soft and underwhelming.
    I’ve also started to need better video specs: e.g. 120p with AF and sound for sport and wildlife.
    For these 2 reasons the sigma 18-50 and the sony 70-350 made me get into Sony and the E-mount.
    Love the cute yet little power house that the ZV e10 is (an updated A6400 without evf essentially). The 2 lenses I’ve mentioned do not disappoint. Love them.
    The camera requires quite a bit of configuration to make it pleasant and efficient to shoot with, but it’s doable. I prefer Canon’s ergonomics though.
    All in all I’m confident I’ve made the right choice to get into the e-mount going forward. Even though the zv e10 is far from perfect, it’s an awesome affordable entry level into their ecosystem. Way better and less crippled than the M50 and actually better video features than the M6.
    imo Canon had an absolute winner with the ef-m system though: compact, small, light, affordable. I cannot understand why for the life of me they didn’t properly build up the lens lineup. The M6 paired with the sigma trio or the 18-35 f1.8 or L EF glass, produces unbelievable results. If they had a high quality native mid range zoom and proper telephoto lenses, I’m positive they would have cornered a huge market share…
    Well, it’s their loss, I’m keeping my M6 for sentimental reasons, but I can’t wait to continue to build up my E-mount ecosystem. Once I have saved enough, the ZV will likely be a studio camera or 2nd body, and I’ll upgrade to a Sony body with better ergonomics and IBIS.

      Nice! Thank you so much for sharing that with me. ZV-E10 was quite a close one for me to make the jump. I was disappointed in its video remote shooting software (imaging edge) with desktop. That's the only reason I'm holding back. A7c was also in my radar. If imaging edge improves, that is the route I wanna take.

      @@JosephKim yes if I had the money, I would have gotten the a7c even with only apsc lenses to get started… But the body was 3 times the price of the zv in the UK at the time. Still is I believe.

      Cheers 👋

      @@JosephKim and I agree, Sony need to make big improvements on their app and software to get to Canon’s level. You can control everything with Canons app. Trade offs in all systems… We just gotta find where the pros outweigh the downsides for each of our own personal usage of these cameras.

    Hi, love everything about the video(I subbed and liked), but I had one concern. A lot of reviews say the ZV-E10 has substantially better image quality in 4k, and the 1080 on it is lackluster at best. I was curious as to your opinion on that because you seem very knowledgeable. Considering the M6 MKII is going for about $850 USD at BestBuy and the ZV-E10 going for $700 USD, I am conflicted between the two for videography. I want the best image quality, and the ZV-E10's bad rolling shutter has got me thinking twice.
    My use case will be for outdoor vlogging(walk and talk) so possibly a decent amount of herky-jerk movements, but I am also definitely using catalyst browse for all my footage if I do end up picking up the ZV-E10.
    Please be my determining factor on my first camera purchase.(No pressure :D)

    • @JosephKim
      @JosephKim  Рік тому

      No pressure, eh? :)
      I didnt really look too close on image quality. Based on what I have seen, they seem not that different. If any, ZV-E10 has slight advantage as it is newer and supposedly better quality in 4K.
      If you are just starting off, you will realize that the amount of storage and performance you need for 4K doesn't really make sense as UA-cam compress videos down anyways. Obviously, it is your choice, but i thought that.
      I stuck with M6 Mk II only because I like Canon's remote shooting software. But that doesn't apply for vlogging.
      If I was starting off now for vlogging, I would have picked ZV-E10 as well :)

    Money not being a factor( price is I think $100-200 difference ), what is the best camera for video? I don't care about photos really to be honest. I care about low-light or dim gym lighting, apartment living light, and background blurr and clarity of video.

    • @JosephKim
      @JosephKim  Рік тому

      Of the 3, I think ZV-E10 does very slightly better. (it is the newest). But you might want to spend more and go bigger into full frame camera for that. If you are concerned about the camera size, A7c is a good choice too.
