The main takeaway for me was that WZ1's graphics were beautiful even when they were not realistic. While WZ2 and WZ3 felt "realistic" but not beautiful. Also the mechanics, animations and presentation quality was overall the best in MW2019. That game looks and feels good to play.

Remember 2v2 gulags, single uav’s at buys, not being able to run and plate, stupid backpacks, dumb armor vests, I could go on and on. No one wanted to play Warzone 2 because it was garbage. Only way to push players to it was to pull Warzone 1’s plug.
The things I absolutely HATE about wz3 is that there is no sniper like kar98, and the menu… dude i get a migraine when i want to start a resurgence match, just bring the old menu back!

They need to just turn the Damm servers on so we can atleast have the option to play it when we want too

MW2019 movement and feeling when playing is just so good
Once they integrated cold war and cods after ruined it. They wanted all these games to feed into WZ but those games were just not on the level of MW2019 so they had to make it feel like those games and the movement in those games was just not it, the overall quality and feel of those games was just not as good as mw2019. So in order to have an integrated experience between WZ and all the games they brought WZ down to be more on their level with their ugly mechanics.

Nah Caldera made warzone 1 even better. The guns from WZ1 got boring after a while and Caldera gave it a fresh new take. Although the merging between the two had lore issues lol.

Not entirely imo. Activision could make absolute bank if they kept warzone up and added different skins or whatever to it. And it's assumable that Activision knows this, as it's pretty obvious. And Activision also clearly knows not many people have an interest in buying their actual games, so it can't entirely be them trying to make us buy mw2 and mw3.

5:15 what’s still sucks is that MW2019 still has the huge file hit for files, being like around 228 GB on PS4, if warzone should be gone, then they should strip everything, not just a part, making people who have 2019 not have their file space almost filled

After countless games with the Kar, Amex, M4, M13, Ffar, Bar, Swiss, Stoner, C58, Type 100, Ots etc., I can and will never agree with "The gunplay is better in Modern Warfare 3." The only gun I've enjoyed in mw3 is the Stalker and that's only because it feels the closest to an MW1 gun.

Kill effect sounds better
Sliding is better
Slide canceling is better
Snaking is better
Bunny hopping is better
Stims are better
Stims are actually useful
Specialist bonus
Gulag tokens and redeployment tokens aren't everywhere
No redeployment flares
Custom loadout box has its own signature sound
My bar and type 100
When WZ2 and if WZ3 exists, better lobbies for casuals
Map isn't one big poi like wz3
Personal redeployment balloons
Buy stations are randomized
Floating loot is better
Backpack system is better: only carry one of each item. Not 3 self revives and two precisions
Teammate UI, you can see what everyone is carrying
Supply run contracts
Top secret contracts
Buildings aren't designed terribly like a maze
Footstep audio better
Custom reticles
Can prone when reviving at any time
Helicopters and vehicles better
WZ3
Zips are better
Low mantle is better
Redeployment balloons launch you higher and further. (Much better for sweats though)
Guaranteed money in every box
Fov slider for console
Underground caches
I hate I never got to experience WZ1 with fov

it was possible to rerout the server directory and run it yourself during the period where the glitch happened but my PC doesnt have server drivers optimization or even enough cores to boot the server when it has no inputs
The look the feel the animations its just diffrent it felt so much better ! When wz2 dropped i immediately felt like thats not it first game remember it like yesterday it looked and felt so bad and downgraded.
Playing BR solos verdansk with the night mode was some of the best ambience I’ve felt for a game in a while tbh, let the good times roll but never let them go
My biggest problem with wz3 is the trk is way too slow and now real movement , wz1 had insane movement that reset tac sprint and super fun ttk that made for crazy clips and most importantly the damage range was perfect for all guns .
Verdansk pre Cold War integration was the peak warzone experience for me. After Cold War and then vanguard I drifted more towards rebirth island. When they killed rebirth island warzone died with it, haven’t bothered since.

They should get people together to make a fan server for people who are into that. Me personally I loved warzone 1 but I’ve adjusted to the new warzone 3 and although it has its flaws it’s an upgrade

After cold war it was still ok or good i was kinda hating it for all the New implemented guns but was still good ! Vanguard and Caldera destroyed the game !
Cold War-Warzone was the absolute peak of warzone, the game was actually still very fun but vanguard came in and ruined the entire experience
That's thing DMZ isn't done it may seem like it but people still play and love it

Loved Warzone 1 so much. Loved Verdansk. I could play it all day... absolutely hated Cold War integration though, and Vanguard integration even more (arguably killed the entire experience IMO). Hated Caldera so much, hated the stupid gimmicky "events" like King Kong and Godzilla. Honestly I'd give anything to get a private server up and running of Verdansk with just the MW2019 weapons only. Stadium update and no further.

Simple explanation, what they said is the game couldn’t handle it being continued on that application, raven said that Warzone was only supposed to be around for mw2019, and eveytime they would update Warzone afterwards problems and bugs would occur in mw because mw2019s engine was getting stressed out, that was also the main reason why there were very few map changes on verdansk, it was because the engine would be to stressed out
Edit; one of the reasons IW spent a huge amount of time making the cod HQ was so you could allow multiple games to be installed on one application and updates to one would not affect the other, just like how mwII does not change when mwIII gets a update
This doesn’t justify the new broken aim assist. Unlimited tact sprint being taken away, running while platting was nonexistent for almost a year. Stim boosts were gone. Everything that made the game fun and different was taken away. It feels like a new owner came in and changed everything. We didn’t ask for it. Worst experience I ever had since a child while gaming, thanks to call of duty’s decision making.
Yeah but IW 9.0 is horrific. I’d rather play on a stressed out IW 8.0 all day long… if Caldera was still around I’d still be playing that. Warzone 2.0 and 3.0 are disasters on a biblical scale.
Only reason is money otherwise they would’ve deleted wz1 after mw19’s cycle ended in 2021. Or kept it like they did with blackout

Verdansk was the best. Loved the first warzone map. Would be awesome to play that map again. Enjoyed playing in lockdown.

Warzone 1 was probably one of my favourite games until now caldera rebirth and verdansk just gives me alot of nostalgia, and yes dont get me wrong, Warzone 2 is great but Warzone just has different feeling. The maps during summer gives me such a good vibes the guns, the skins, the weapons. The look of the game everything was perfect.
Warzone was so fun it helped me ease my recent heartbroken state back in the day,literally.
It's *such* a shame when I see WZ 2 and now even 3 not deliver that feeling.
I even loved that shitty hover button sound of WZ 1.
Not to mention,they got all the newer CoD games under the same launcher and just called it "Call of Duty".

Warzone Verdansk is the best and always will be. I didn’t like Caldera for the first 3-4 months but by the end I loved it. The QOL changes they made really turned it around. I bought every season during WZ 1 and 38 store bundles! All gone! How was there not a lawsuit against them?! I played WZ 1 for a 103 days. WZ 2.0 is possibly one of the worst games I’ve ever played in my life, they literally reversed every single good thing from WZ 1 which is mental? I bought 1 store bundle and played it up until the first day of Season 2, after that I played Caldera until they shut the servers. Me and my quads mates play WZ 3.0 at the moment but we’re all off before 00:00 on a Friday and Saturday usually where as in WZ 1 we’d been on until 02:30ish every Fri and Sat. Wednesdays we’d play WZ 1 until 00:30-01:00 but now we’re off by 22:30 😂. There’s word that Verdansk might be coming back but that would be Sacrilege if they brought it back on this new IW 9.0 Engine! IW 8.0 is far superior than 9.0 bar one thing and that’s the FOV slider. But… I’d rather play solos quads with a 40 FOV on WZ 1 than play this new one!!!!!!
I fkn loved Caldera in the last year. They had almost everything fixed and it played better than ever. I also made some friends who I had a great time grinding caldera.

I was a 2 KD player in WZ1 and always had fun. Now I’m half that and sometimes only play in order to unlock more items before rebirth/Verdansk come back. I’m in the minority but I also liked Caldera.

I swear to God there was a peak time during COVID when WZ 1 was literally the best freaking thing.
You dropped in with the og M4 builds and there were no CW integration or anything.
Rebirth was the BEST step in the right direction and then the downfall started with VG integration, Caldera, nuking Verdansk and finally MW 2 was the nail in the coffin.
I would give anything to relive those rebirth memories I made in that game

The biggest issue I had with warzone 1 getting deleted , was that all the money I spent is literally gone , all the time I spent to open gold camos , all the money I spent on buying bundles and battle pass , I wish they would at the least add the warzone 1 operators back to the game

i honestly agree with u the game is at a good place right now but the only problem i have with it is the menu and the stupid gun level ups, i hate how im looking for an attachment to put on it and i have to unlock and level up another gun to get that attachment, and why is there so many attachments for one gun why couldnt it be just the attachments for that gun

Warzone might have been deleted but our memories will go nowhere, I spent countless hours playing the game with my friends during the pandemic, learning it and getting better eventually, We had so many laughs and so much fun, I met a lot of people and with 2 of them we are friends for 4 years since 2020, warzone was such a fun and great game, Im grateful for having created those memories 🍻

In my opinion, they should make Warzone separate from MW, putting the movement and things of 1 mixed with that of 2/3 and make a separate progression like COD mobile, where it has its own weapons, maps, modes, etc. separate from other games in the franchise, but with weapons from the franchise, which would reduce the size of the game and also make it more flexible in terms of code modifications
The only reason I came back to Warzone one was because I thought the weapons got cool but when I got back on it was removed and I was so sad because I wanted to see how good the weapons were😢😢😢😢😢
