Hi Jade, I'm really impressed by your talk. I sometimes describe OCD as going through your day with an invisible, uncontrollable 4-year-old kid. I can't even imagine taking care of real children while having OCD attacks. I find it challenging just to take care of myself.
One thing, when you speak, it seems like you're not reading from a script or something, but how can you speak for a straight 20 minutes in such an organized and effective way lol??
I guess it's definitely a good idea to have positive anger and say yes instead of no when you're feeling down. Of course, it's easier said than done.
Anyway, thanks for the positive message with a perspective on parenthood, which I've never really thought of before. And you mentioned your house is messy, but it's not that bad. I can assure you that it can be way worse than that lol, take care.

A lot of OCD sufferers actually avoid having children because they think they can't handle it or it will trigger them even more. It can seem like an overwhelming prospect - but it's very important to carry on with your life while working on recovery simultaneously.

Hey Jinhyun! So the best way to get better at public speaking is by practicing public speaking :-) It's really the only way!

I've had POCD almost all my life. Now I'm a mom to a 10 week old and I'm still terrified so much. This gives me hope but I'm still scared everyday.
