There is a turntable in the ghost town of Monte Cristo, Washington. It still moved with very little hand pressure last time i was there. Unless someone removed it, it is a great 4 mile bike ride or walk off the Mountain Loop Highway.
The society has been invited by the Grand Canyon Railway to operate 2926 there, when the time comes. Also, the society is working with the state of New Mexico to operate excursions on NMDOT tracks out of Albuquerque. Right now, the society needs to prepare 2926 to be at the society’s new facility at the old Santa Fe shops in Albuquerque, after working with the city.
Great documentary!
This is going to be so exciting
all aboard and we will see everyone down the rails in 2024

If you guys can get this engine out on the mainline, y'all should head for the Grand Canyon
