I'm excited you get to cook on a legit Santa Maria grill and it don't get any better than LSG!!!! Happy cooking, I know you'll love the flavor of the meat you cook on it! Cheers brother!! Hey Terynia!!!
Brother, I just can't wait to get this thing rolling smoke and fire. This darn rain has just been relentless! All week and weekend is the prediction! Fall just can't get here fast enough.
Rookie BBQ'ers need not apply. That beast is a serious grill made for people that know how to grill right. Congrats, Rus! Can't wait to see you put that bad boy through its paces! Kudos to Lone Star Grillz for building that fine product.
I really enjoy cooking over fire. It's basically how it all started for me, so I'm going to really enjoy using this new Santa Maria. Once Fall and cooler weather settles in, I'll be doing the hog. Late October or early November.
Wow that's some serious Grill Real Estate, won't be running out of food , very often with this beast. Great review of a nice grill. Nicely Done. Thanks for sharing. 😎.
You could do anything this grill can do with less than $100 in materials. A few cinder blocks and some expanded steel. I consider these a waste of money.
When you have a couple hundred thousand subscribers they give this stuff away to you.... Lone Star Grillz probably has a lot of orders to fulfill this week off this video alone.
Great job on the review. Now it's time to cook bro!!! I finally got to light a fire in mine last night just to get some smoke on the racks and all. Man this cooker is going to be a LOT of fun!!! We'll have to do an LSG collab video bro.
Thanks Alton! If this darn rain would ever stop, I'll actually cook on it LOL! I barely got this video shot, before it stormed. Predicting nothing but rain all week and weekend as well :(
Sweet looking Santa Maria Grill there Rus. I can't wait to see a vid with a big cook out. You should look into Shelter Logic for one of those temporary garages that come in all shapes and sizes to store your grill in. Cheers Rus!
Thanks for the love, Rus! I appreciate the mention. I think the leather logo hats are pretty sweet. Really cool idea by that company. That is one bad cooker, buddy! I'm still trying figure out if Lone Star makes any products that I actually WOULDN'T want :) I'm thinking the next house we buy is going to have to have an outdoor kitchen space designed around the cookers it can house! Can't wait to see a cook on that thing, it is a beast!
Dang bro I have to admit I'm a bit jealous. :) That is one beast of a grill. Looking froward to the whole hog. Interested to see how it compares to the way we cook it here in Eastern NC. Better yet I need to take trip down when you cook it. :)
RUS, I could comment all day on that grill but buddy all I can say is that is one awesome looking Cadillac of all grills and I can't wait to you do a whole hog on it, I think that it would be the best video on You Tube to date. AWESOME JOB MY FRIEND. GOD BLESS YOU.!!!!
Thanks Joe! I’m really loving this grill! It just screams the style of cooking I love and takes me back to how I use to do things years ago! Just me, meat and fire! 🔥
Russ - Awesome Grill!!! How about removing the wheel and using a hand crank like you would find in a car that has manual windows...then just have the handle on the low side and it should roll right into the garage.
Another great informative video Russ. I'll never get one, but it sure is fun that you've got one. Can't wait to see future cooks. I'm going to try to get LSG to put some Mini mods on the Pee Wee, but if that doesn't work, I'll just have to get a Mini.
Hey Russ what if you just put a brick patio in the back interlocking pavers and then you can build a roof structure overhang Maybe that way it keep the rain off of you and the Sun
I've already got a patio around back. Just need a "huge" cover. I think that is coming soon. I'm tired of rain always being an issue when I want to cook outdoors and shoot videos
Nice Aquisition Russ, Looking forward to see you using it. The Brazero nice option, Nice heavy duty shovel. Maybe this will motivate the other channels to upgrade from the Gabby. 👍
As is the custom very good video Russ, that Santa Maria which measure is that of 48X30 or 36X30? ... I am already waiting for your videos cooking in that jewel ... greetings
@@SmokyRibsBBQ Russ nothing to thank from you .... impossible not to see your videos, I have learned a lot from how to light the fire ..... to how to season and prepare the meat ... Thanks to you for such good videos
Ooooooo this might end up on my patio, I came close to buying the Ñuke Delta but the smallest Lone Star model is probably better suited for my needs and cheaper
Very very very nice. That is a sweet grill. Your gonna have to remodel the garage or build you an outdoor cooking area with a roof over it. Love it Russ keep up the good work brother.
Time will tell, but that is a replaceable item on this grill. There are supports welded under the expanded metal to stop it from sagging as it ages, but eventually they will have to be replaced. I may get Chris to plasma cut me 1/4" fire grates when these need replacing.
I don't live in California and can't get the same coastal red oak. To me it's just another way of cooking over live fire and very fun to cook on with great results.
Holy smokes, m'brother! I wouldn't even know what to do with that monster! I guess I better make more friends who love to barbecue... At what point does Mrs. Ribs say "Nope! No more toys!"?
@@SmokyRibsBBQ Right on! My wife wouldn't know what to do with a grill so that's my domain, but we do work well together in the kitchen so she doesn't mind at all when I bring home more and better equipment. She nearly cried when I replaced our old terrible knife set with a set of Henkel Pros and she used them for the first time, effortlessly slicing through veggies, fruit, and meat.
@@ramonmunoz7617 Yes, I know. I've got a video using this same Santa maria grill cooking tri tip and other videos doing other things. The things you can do is only limited to ones imagination. Love cooking on it!
I measured 1/8th of a inch on the body. The grate frame is heavier around 1/4 inch and the wheel is heavier as well. 60" Santa Maria weighs 421 pounds, not including the bresero of you order one
Smoky Ribs BBQ that turns out to be 11guage? Do you feel that is more then enough for constant cooking? Is there anything you would have lsg add or modify. One more question is the unit bolted to the cart or welded?
@@dmdm9198 Yes, it's plenty heavy enough and I wouldn't even refer to it as sheet metal. Very rigid and all welded. I'm suppose to be getting the Argentine grates for mine. I pretty much have all the upgrades already. It's a lot of fun to cook on. Hope to do many many cooks on it if I ever get the time.
Would’ve been better if the front door opened by just lifting up the handle and then closing it by dropping the handle instead of two different locks on each side
Wow! Those guys dont mess around... that is one impressive cooker.

Off topic, but we should petition Conecuh Sausage to start making jalapeño cheddar smoked sausage.
Nice grill, get offset to make you a 3 in. Smaller wheel, & send back the original&in the garage it will go. [ Ps. Or smaller casters...] enjoy Russ

Rus got himself a new grill! Ya'll know what that means. New videos!
I try to get new videos out once a week, but yeah, new videos using this grill for certain

I would like coil cool handles for front door. Maybe you can tell me if the handles get hot

Do they have a model that competes with the tag Wood?
Couldn't say, never heard of a tag wood
You've got the patio out back, put it there. Off road package?
I do intend on getting it around back, but I need to put a permanent cover over the patio.
