Wow! Those guys dont mess around... that is one impressive cooker.
Congrats Rus on the new grill!
Can’t wait to see you do some amazing cooks on your Santa Maria !!
Just received mine yesterday. Can't wait to use it. I have the same garage issue.
Rookie BBQ'ers need not apply. That beast is a serious grill made for people that know how to grill right. Congrats, Rus! Can't wait to see you put that bad boy through its paces! Kudos to Lone Star Grillz for building that fine product.
I found my way back, thanks for another great video. I love cooking Tri Tip.
THAT is what I am talking about RIGHT THERE!! Thanks for the overview!
Wow that's some serious Grill Real Estate, won't be running out of food , very often with this beast. Great review of a nice grill. Nicely Done. Thanks for sharing. 😎.
Whole Hog??? I’m in!!! I can’t wait to see what else you cook on that beauty. Nice purchase Russ.
I'm excited you get to cook on a legit Santa Maria grill and it don't get any better than LSG!!!! Happy cooking, I know you'll love the flavor of the meat you cook on it! Cheers brother!! Hey Terynia!!!
T-ROY COOKS you gotta a lot of subscribers. I am sure you can get Lonestar to send you one buddy. I’d love to see you cook responsibly on this bad boy
Congrats Russ.cant wait for the pig pick in.
Brother, I just can't wait to get this thing rolling smoke and fire. This darn rain has just been relentless! All week and weekend is the prediction! Fall just can't get here fast enough.
Ñ
That's a beautiful hunk of steel. Can't wait to see a whole hog on that bad boy :)
I really enjoy cooking over fire. It's basically how it all started for me, so I'm going to really enjoy using this new Santa Maria. Once Fall and cooler weather settles in, I'll be doing the hog. Late October or early November.
That thing looks amazing, Rus. And I can tell by the look on your face, that you're very much satisfied with it.😊
That is a beautiful grill, enjoy!
That's a Cadillac of a grill Rus! Congrats bud! Looking forward to seeing this baby in action!
Awesome man enjoy it
Awesome cooker, Rus! Congratulations, brother! Can’t wait to see your first cook!
Thanks Mike! I can't wait to cook on it too :D
I can't wait to see what you pull off this grill!
Thanks for another great video. Very impressive. Cheers, Russ!
Looks like a fun new grill to use Russ, and good quality fab work as always from Lone Star!
I'm gonna have a blast cooking on this Adam! Yes sir, high quality and attention to detail! Loving it!
Russ that is a awesome looking cooker .. Well built and tons of room for cooking . cheers
MO here!! Great job! Nice product! Enjoy!!!✌️🍺
Welp!! Now I know what I want for Christmas!! Great video!
Thanks for sharing that new grill with us!
Got a newer version I'm filming tomorrow with a upgraded grate system. I love it!
Another great informative video Russ. I'll never get one, but it sure is fun that you've got one. Can't wait to see future cooks. I'm going to try to get LSG to put some Mini mods on the Pee Wee, but if that doesn't work, I'll just have to get a Mini.
Dang, Russ l want that thing bad!! You did an excellent job explaining everything. Love your channel brother.
Thanks, glad you enjoy the channel!
dang, I could fit inside that smoker. Congrats Rus!!
Very impresive Grill and I am looking forward what you will do with it 👍👍👍
Great job on the review. Now it's time to cook bro!!! I finally got to light a fire in mine last night just to get some smoke on the racks and all. Man this cooker is going to be a LOT of fun!!! We'll have to do an LSG collab video bro.
Thanks Alton! If this darn rain would ever stop, I'll actually cook on it LOL! I barely got this video shot, before it stormed. Predicting nothing but rain all week and weekend as well :(
Awesome video Rus can’t wait to see you cook on it
Thanks Jared! I can't wait for the first cook (if this dang rain would ever stop)
We need rain in south Texas
Sweet looking Santa Maria Grill there Rus. I can't wait to see a vid with a big cook out. You should look into Shelter Logic for one of those temporary garages that come in all shapes and sizes to store your grill in. Cheers Rus!
Thanks William! If the darn rain would ever let up you will see a big cook very soon. Thanks for the tip. Cheers!
Thanks for the love, Rus! I appreciate the mention. I think the leather logo hats are pretty sweet. Really cool idea by that company.
That is one bad cooker, buddy! I'm still trying figure out if Lone Star makes any products that I actually WOULDN'T want :) I'm thinking the next house we buy is going to have to have an outdoor kitchen space designed around the cookers it can house! Can't wait to see a cook on that thing, it is a beast!
I'm really digging these hats Jonathan! Thanks again brother!
Nice video Russ...looking forward to see what you smoke on it
Can’t wait to see the whole hog!!! Going to epic no doubt!!
Dam that’s one bad ass grill Russ can’t wait to see the first cook on it
Wow, very nice piece of equipment
Man all you BBQ tubers are so fortunate to afford these bad ass pits. Congrats on the new pit Sir! It's a machine for sure!
You could do anything this grill can do with less than $100 in materials.
A few cinder blocks and some expanded steel. I consider these a waste of money.
When you have a couple hundred thousand subscribers they give this stuff away to you.... Lone Star Grillz probably has a lot of orders to fulfill this week off this video alone.
You’re gonna need to build another garage to house all your cookers! 👍🏼
I wouldn't mind having that problem jaja
Sir thank you for this review. I was about to purchase a Kalamazoo Gaucho
Very nice Rus
10 to 11 more weeks until I go pick up mine. Can't wait
Nice Aquisition Russ, Looking forward to see you using it. The Brazero nice option, Nice heavy duty shovel. Maybe this will motivate the other channels to upgrade from the Gabby. 👍
The Rolls Royce of grills ! Out of my league
oh WOW! 👍👍👍👍👍 That is one amazing grill!
I'm loving it!
What a nice pit! You must feel like its Christmas!
Beautiful grill Rus!
Thanks Kim! Great to see you!
I know nothing about grills and BBQ's but that looks pretty neat Rus.
It's a very cool but functional grill. Cooking over real wood coals is my favorite way to grill or BBQ
RUS, I could comment all day on that grill but buddy all I can say is that is one awesome looking Cadillac of all grills and I can't wait to you do a whole hog on it, I think that it would be the best video on You Tube to date. AWESOME JOB MY FRIEND. GOD BLESS YOU.!!!!
Thanks Joe! I’m really loving this grill! It just screams the style of cooking I love and takes me back to how I use to do things years ago! Just me, meat and fire! 🔥
Dang bro I have to admit I'm a bit jealous. :) That is one beast of a grill. Looking froward to the whole hog. Interested to see how it compares to the way we cook it here in Eastern NC. Better yet I need to take trip down when you cook it. :)
THEREALSHOWBBQ I never thought I would covet a shovel! That’s a sweet rig Russ!
Ooooooo this might end up on my patio, I came close to buying the Ñuke Delta but the smallest Lone Star model is probably better suited for my needs and cheaper
Damn, Rus. You get all the cool toys.
Russ - Awesome Grill!!! How about removing the wheel and using a hand crank like you would find in a car that has manual windows...then just have the handle on the low side and it should roll right into the garage.
I’m not altering anything on this grill. It’s fine outside, but I am going to get it around to the back patio soon
Another well made pit by LSG. I"d love one like this for whole hog cooking. Can't wait to see you use it.
It sure is! I'm loving this new Santa Maria!
outstanding!
Nice!
What a beast!!!
I’m loving it brother!
That is a really nice grill Rus.
Thanks Tom! I can’t wait to actually use it!
Nice piece of equipment, C G
Hey Russ what if you just put a brick patio in the back interlocking pavers and then you can build a roof structure overhang Maybe that way it keep the rain off of you and the Sun
I've already got a patio around back. Just need a "huge" cover. I think that is coming soon. I'm tired of rain always being an issue when I want to cook outdoors and shoot videos
That things crazy
WOW...it's awesome 👌 how much did it set you back.....✌️🍺🍺😎
Gotta have the table.... Oh yeah
Love the grill wish they would build a lid on it
As is the custom very good video Russ, that Santa Maria which measure is that of 48X30 or 36X30? ... I am already waiting for your videos cooking in that jewel ... greetings
I have the 60”x30”. Thanks, I appreciate you checking it out!
@@SmokyRibsBBQ Russ nothing to thank from you .... impossible not to see your videos, I have learned a lot from how to light the fire ..... to how to season and prepare the meat ... Thanks to you for such good videos
What a great looking grill! How many is that for you now?
I love it! It's my third Lonestar Grillz, but if your talking grills in general, I lost count LOL
How many grills and/or smokers you have man ? enjoy your videos, cheers from Canada !!
Probably too many, but no....., you can never have to many ;)
Gotta be Christmas in August 😂
Nice grill, get offset to make you a 3 in. Smaller wheel, & send back the original&in the garage it will go. [ Ps. Or smaller casters...] enjoy Russ
After looking at closer, I think the wheel will detach from the rod. If so, no problems
Off topic, but we should petition Conecuh Sausage to start making jalapeño cheddar smoked sausage.
Dang.... That is big! I Like! lol
I'd like one too.👍🏻👍🏻That's all I have to say. Lol
Don’t make us wait to long for first cook Russ
love to see what you could do with a proper grate and bassero
If you watch my videos, you will be seeing a lot of action with this grate and brasero
@@SmokyRibsBBQ very much looking forward to that. no doubt you'll turn out something awesome.
I absolutely love my santa maria grill. U will love all the possibilities u get with that type a grill.
#LETSGRILLIT
Already loving it! Did my first cook on it yesterday and can’t wait for the next one!
I would like coil cool handles for front door. Maybe you can tell me if the handles get hot
Plenty of air gap between the door and the handle. It does not get hot at all
I want one
How long do you think the bottom grates will last? Ik it depends on how much you cook but how well do you think it will last b4 warping?
Time will tell, but that is a replaceable item on this grill. There are supports welded under the expanded metal to stop it from sagging as it ages, but eventually they will have to be replaced. I may get Chris to plasma cut me 1/4" fire grates when these need replacing.
Very very very nice. That is a sweet grill. Your gonna have to remodel the garage or build you an outdoor cooking area with a roof over it. Love it Russ keep up the good work brother.
You should grill some shrimp on that just because you can.
Nice. How much was that grill.
This is badass. Lone Star pulls no punches. I can't wait to see a whole hog on this.
Been wanting one for awhile. I plan on wearing it out LOL
That’s is a sexy beast, Rus! Can’t wait for that whole hog video!
I'm loving it Justin! Just wish the rain would stop so I can use it LOL
Rus got himself a new grill! Ya'll know what that means. New videos!
I try to get new videos out once a week, but yeah, new videos using this grill for certain
Come on man cook something for us!!! (good Video)
It's coming
More sailing videos!!
Lol
Like a kid at Christmas
Santa Maria Style we never use charcoal we used red oakwood... We take much pride in our style...
I don't live in California and can't get the same coastal red oak. To me it's just another way of cooking over live fire and very fun to cook on with great results.
BADASS GRILL!!!!! I'M SURE THAT IT HAS A BADASS PRICE!!!!!
First cook, 50 Tri tips. 😎
Can't buy tri tip here, but you will see it loaded down with many things for sure.
Build a 20x20 grill shaq
You've got the patio out back, put it there. Off road package?
I do intend on getting it around back, but I need to put a permanent cover over the patio.
Holy smokes, m'brother! I wouldn't even know what to do with that monster! I guess I better make more friends who love to barbecue...
At what point does Mrs. Ribs say "Nope! No more toys!"?
She uses them too, so no problems with the wife LOL ;)
@@SmokyRibsBBQ Right on! My wife wouldn't know what to do with a grill so that's my domain, but we do work well together in the kitchen so she doesn't mind at all when I bring home more and better equipment. She nearly cried when I replaced our old terrible knife set with a set of Henkel Pros and she used them for the first time, effortlessly slicing through veggies, fruit, and meat.
Dear Santa....
You are all set now, I think? lol
Has it rusted yet?
How thick is the sheet metal used through out the grill
I measured 1/8th of a inch on the body. The grate frame is heavier around 1/4 inch and the wheel is heavier as well. 60" Santa Maria weighs 421 pounds, not including the bresero of you order one
Smoky Ribs BBQ that turns out to be 11guage? Do you feel that is more then enough for constant cooking? Is there anything you would have lsg add or modify. One more question is the unit bolted to the cart or welded?
@@dmdm9198 Yes, it's plenty heavy enough and I wouldn't even refer to it as sheet metal. Very rigid and all welded. I'm suppose to be getting the Argentine grates for mine. I pretty much have all the upgrades already. It's a lot of fun to cook on. Hope to do many many cooks on it if I ever get the time.
Do you have any idea where is Santa Maria? U from Texas
It’s in California, I’m nowhere near there, but the Santa Maria grill is basically an Argentine grill
@@SmokyRibsBBQ just making sure cause I'm from Santa Maria and it's a small city and famous cause it's tri tip
@@ramonmunoz7617 Yes, I know. I've got a video using this same Santa maria grill cooking tri tip and other videos doing other things. The things you can do is only limited to ones imagination. Love cooking on it!
@@SmokyRibsBBQ I would recommend to use Santa Maria seasoning specially for tri tip Susie's Q's made in Santa Maria too
How much does that grill weigh?
421 pounds without the brasero and fold out table attached.
I'm jelly.
Would’ve been better if the front door opened by just lifting up the handle and then closing it by dropping the handle instead of two different locks on each side
I don't have enough friends to feed with something like that!
They make them smaller
