Sorry, but Apple is rubbish. You get old, castrated technology for a lot higher price. I usually use the premium android models, and they worked fine for years. Currently, I use Fold 4, then used note 4 for almost 10 years. I am moderately loyal. I used Ericsson, then Nokia, then Samsung, and if Samsung does something I don't like, I will switch to something else. BTW, the colours on the Apple's rainbow are in the wrong order.

but that's what everyone does, google tries to push their stuff that you are locked on google only services... and Microsoft tries with their own services, but because of DMA and governmental reasons, IT companies are "forced" to comply with the regulations. And that opens the "technical lock-ins", not because google or microsoft really wants to open, but because they have to. The same will happen to Apple (it is already happening).

My workplace actually allowed us to pick if we'd like a Mac laptop or Windows when we started, which I thought was pretty amazing. I chose Windows though because as we're in the government sector, I knew most stuff would be geared towards Windows and that's likely what other state agencies would be using, so I could troubleshoot with them easier (though some coworkers having Apple is helpful for those rare cases when I need someone to test something on a Mac for me that a user is experiencing). I also have only used Windows because it's more compatible with everything else I have (an Android and Google's suite of services).

Isn't the reason of a "brand"? A brand refers to the identity and perception of a company, product, or service as shaped by its values, design, messaging, and customer experiences. It encompasses tangible elements such as logos, slogans, and packaging, as well as intangible aspects like reputation, customer loyalty, and emotional connection with the audience. A strong brand helps distinguish a business or product in the market, builds trust, and communicates what it stands for.
Essentially, a brand is how a company is perceived by the public and how it communicates its promise or value to consumers.

Hey man, I was exclusively an Android user and tech-spec nerd most of my life. I only ended up with an iPhone this past year by a combination of practicality for my circumstances and because I got their flagship plus Apple Watch and AirPods Pro for less than half the retail price lol. For most users, they just aren’t into tech like that and it isn’t that deep. The cultists and brand loyalists are annoying, yes, but there are other reasons people end up with iPhones than blind loyalty or stupidity. I still miss my Android phone, I still am exclusively PC for computers, my tablet is a Samsung, favorite phone of all-time was my OnePlus 7 Pro (Android).
But a good deal is a good deal, and what he said about getting “locked in” to the ecosystem is VERY TRUE. Once you add an Apple Watch, AirPods Pro or both to the mix you’re kind of trapped for a while. Overall, I still prefer Android and will go back eventually. But don’t assume someone is clueless or brand loyal just because you see them holding an iPhone or something. Most of the time it’s not that deep.
I would still argue with anyone who ever tried to state that Apple phones are superior by any objective measure, definitely not true. But for smartwatches and fitness trackers ALL AROUND…. Newer Apple Watches are the best compromise, again all around; and what sucks is they don’t work with the Android phones. Another truth is that the newer AirPods Pros are genuinely great ALL-AROUNDERS in the true wireless earbud category… if you have an iPhone ha. Are any of them the best at any one thing? No. But I understand why people who aren’t into fidgeting with tech stick to them now. Once these die I will go back to Android.

There are better alternatives to apple watches if people look for a little bit, for a better price too, with much more features and almost always better battery life. And you don't need to shop Garmin either (those also tend to be even more expensive than Apple, but they work pretty much forever). Apple is great at coming up with new problems and no solutions to them. Their watches have to be charged daily and are pretty fragile (I had Watch 6), batteries in wireless earbuds don't last very long (battery health wise not play time wise) and are not replacable, well, unless you buy a whole new set of airpods again. It's all invented to get people to spend more money, nothing more. They don't even dare to add the latest bluetooth standard to their devices or 120Hz screens (among various other things that a regular phone has) to their expensive phones, because then it's fewer things they can add in the future, be it next year, or in 10 years. Scummy anti-consumer tactics.

To note: While doing right by the customer is not a corporation's primary goal, doing wrong by the customer isn't either. Often doing right by the customer ends up being the right move to making the most money.
I say this not to instill blind trust in companies, because often they DO do wrong by the customer to make money, but to encourage people to think. I've seen people assume malice often when there likely isn't any. Honest mistakes do happen.
Now another interesting thing to consider: If a company is doing the right thing, but it's motivated by the wrong things, is it still the right thing? My personal opinion is yes, but I feel many won't agree. In either case, it is good to be able to understand what the motive is.

The big problem here is consumerism. Always wanting new things and being manipulated in buying them. Of course, when your phone breaks you buy a new one, but the truth is that buying second hand is more sustainable and for many things in life its overall cheaper, better for the environment and doesn't support these huges monopolies that manipulate us every day. Apple products are fine, but I refuse to buy any of them because the company is constantly going out of its way to screw you over. I for once, have some self-respect.

Its more like "I don't like specific food because its hard to make", android is generally harder in terms of intuitivity and user-friendliness

Of course Apple is about making money. Every existing company on this planet is about making money, including your petty channel.

I love how Apple users are still calling Android users broke, yet my Android cost $2,000 which is more expensive than any iPhone ever, and most cell phone carriers offer free iPhones when you switch

An Android person here. Mostly because iphones are expensive and don't have anything worth the price (imo).

I'm also an Android person. I don't have brand loyalty as far as manufacturers; I've had phones from Motorola, HTC, LG, Samsung, OnePlus, and currently a Pixel 8. I just like the customization options and the ability to side load apps. Now I do have the pixel buds pro as well but they were free with the phone.

To me it’s more of “I don’t want Apple to decide what I can and can’t do on my phone”, no side-load no open source apps.
