I think the purpose of this video was to show how you can still DIY/upgrade the shirt without knowing how to sew or having a sewing kit/machine. But if you're totally capable and have the necessary tools, it would be a great finishing touch

fun tip! If you get some thicker lace detail ribbon and some fabric glue, you can go along the unfinished edges/"cuts" of these designs and it will keep them safer in the wash and avoid fraying, rolling and tearing AND just adds a cuter little detail!! love all these adorable ideas Leyla!

The "shirt" itself was actually a dress already, a MATERNITY knee length dress 😭 it was plain white, and my mom wore it all the time when she was pregnant with me, she gave it to me because it can't fit her anymore and i loved it very much but wanted to make it a bit more girly and cute, i'm so thankful for this video ❤

You can’t. Not unless you want it to fray. You may get a few uses out of it, but that’s it. These designs are very cute but not practical.
