We were planning on making a short film that had a scene where the character’s reflection did something different from him, but we didn’t know how we were going to pull it off. That is, until we saw this! Thanks!

How would you have multiple hands grabbing a character and pulling them through a mirror? Would you green screen the entire mirror? how could you get multiple hands to actually grab a person and fake like they are pulling them from one world into the mirror? Thank you
Oh wow, that’s amazing! I don’t actually know. I’ll have a think and try make a video covering it for you. You would definitely need to have people grabbing the person, but you would need clean plates to mask them out. As for going through the mirror, I guess, jump towards the mirror then hand animate the rest of the movement. That’s a tricky one!
@@BrookerFilms that would be incredibly helpful man! Imagine let’s say captain America sitting in front of a mirror and Thor’s hand. The hulk and Spider-Man grab him and pull him in. (Just using those characters as an example) but would The actor sitting in front of the mirror with that mirror have to be green screen? Would the actors that needles reaching out of the mirror need to wear a green screen suit and change all their hands reaching out in the mirror in post? Just curious how to do this
@@BrookerFilms you just make it look so easy! If you are not doing it already you should be working on special effects, if that's your thing. If you can't get into movies look into large haunted house or low budget films. Your special effects talent may be just what that produce/director needs and the industry WILL notice you. Or do whatever the hell you want. This world has gotten a bit too crazy for my liking. Have fun! Thanks again for sharing your talent.
Jonathan Long I've been trying to find a good editing/vfx software for a short where I'll be doing a bit of this, and I've found that most softwares can do this. As long as it has the masking tool, then you're basically all set!

I have a better solution, just place mirrors around the globe 50 times and you will see the mirror having a 10s delay.
