Theo Dumitrescu I think you missed the point. It’s not actually about wasting paper, and/or ink. It’s about asking why one would go through that process when green paper is something that can easily be bought rather than going through the process of printing an entire sheet of paper green.

chroma keying can be done physically on the cellulose film, with chemicals. They've been doing it since the 50's or 60's, I think.
@@djoverkin OR you could attach the cabinet in front of the camera (and zoom so the outside is not visible), shoot the footage through the mirror and then release the cabinet and zoom out when its in place and the actor is opening it....would take quite some building of the mechanism, but in hollywood its possible

When single-framing through it, one might notice: At 0:06 (an instance before the mirror is turned by 90°), one should see the back wall, not the side wall (i.e., the camera should turn 180° in the same time the mirror rurns 90°)

I just did this for my exam. It looks so kick ass!! Thank you so so so much ❤️oh and NB guys don't have your actor cross their hand over the green. I didn't use a cabin, I used a flip mirror. Worked just as well. Only difference is that I had to move my camera down with the down motion of the down flipping mirror.

Hi, since most of you here are filmmakers....just a quick question (sorry for being off topic).... Im currently editing my 4K footage on a normal HDD (7200rpm), its simple and works for basic edits. Its now started clicking so ill need to quickly upgrade. So will buying an 3d NAND SSD give better smoother 4K playback for editing ? Or should i go with an M2 Chip ? This is for my footage drive only. I have independent drives for everything else and OS+Software runs from a normal SSD. Your opinions would help in this urgent situation as there's no time to sit and research.

Haha this was great. I heard "cabin" instead of "cabinet" a couple times and thought "easy mistake to make". Then I kept hearing it over and over again. Pretty soon every other word was "cabin". It's ingrained in my head now. So if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go grab a snack out of my kitchen cabin.

can't you just do:
Shot 1: camera is behind actor. actor walks to the medicine cabinet, pulls out bread, and walks away as camera zooms in so you can only see the mirror.
Cross Dissolve into Shot 2: camera starts at the mirror.

Couldn't you just angle the cabinet so that you can film through it without the cameraman being seen, and when "coming out" of the mirror rotate the cabinet or have the guy shift in front of it?
