I was hau;ing hay in a different field when this started. Then the second time it started I was in the field when the second one started about 60 to 80 years away from me.
Great job on this video! It was so much fun to watch.
I like how the farmer is just standing there while his tractor is burning while the Firefighter is running his ass off trying to deploy the fire hose which get snagged and runs all the way back to the truck to pull more hose..............WTF.......
Jerkoffs might as well had tennis shoes on too !
It’s called basic PPE
This is so unsafe. All it takes is a quick shift of the wind and this guy would be toast. It's odd that you'd be posting such unsafe practices to UA-cam. You'd think you'd want to hide this video.
It is interesting to see how wildfires are fought in other countries. Here in Germany, we are more concerned about safety and fight the fire from the burnt area (also known as the black area). This has the advantage that the fire runs away from you rather than towards you.
If you notice, the wind is blowing “away”, as the firefighter is attacking the fire line. Safety is our concern also. Thank You for watching.
I don't think you would have to worry about the house with that green grass in between.
"90 degrees and 20% rh, what could go wrong?!" At least it wasn't windy. Nice catch.
Our regular turn out gear protects us. In the Georgia Heat Outdoors, we don’t usually wear a lots. We let our brush trucks or engines do the heavy work. This being an “open, plowed field” made conditions much easier for us to attack, as dressed. If this had been “heavy underbrush”, we would have “suited up”, for sure. Thanks for your comment.
Awesome! Good job. The only thing I'm wondering is if you guys got brush gear...
Baler. Not bailer.
Nice work everybody
That falling technique was terrifying.
The tree was very dead and rotted and did catch Captain Francis off guard a little.
so many controlled burns are never controlled
👍Nice Pierce/Ford Engine! Good work. Stay safe!
That was just the trailer on fire, not the truck
Awesome work guys keep it up
bruh.......its called the fire tetrahedron. get with the times. also learn how to pronounce aquaeous.
Could do without the music it’s like thinking about a crime scene
what gpm pump is ladder?
We were flowing between 550 and 1000 gpm. It has a variable nozzle. We would cut it up when needed and down as needed. For the video we achieved a little over 1000 gpm
Looks like some good training.
What state is this in
Georgia
@@bleckleycountyfiredepartme3468 Thank you
What size hose was used for this drill?
3”.
Your mom's favorite size
Thank you for you service in Cochran
Why those firefighters doesn't have any protective gear? If this happend in EU, they would be fired immediately
Looks intense
It’s sage brush. Farmers use it as a winter cover, then burn it off, getting ready for the next crop planting.
What are you burning------WEEDS?
Thank you all for your service to our community.

What’s the slowest way to fill tankers this is it
Justin: You have to remember, we are in a rural area: no hydrants are available. This is the fastest for us.
@@r2d567 we are too ldh to the tankers even through a 2.5 inch direct fill is faster don’t leave the road way with tankers and use a manifold drain system
With the engine that close to the water source if you don’t have enough hard suction to reach the pond buy more no reason to have to use turbo draft at 500 gpm when two or three sections will get a steamer in the water and give you 1000 gpm+
Yuck, that's just as shitty of not worse than cleaning up a fuckload of motor oil some asshole decided to dump into a lake near me
Looking good
Thank you to the Bleckley County Fire Dept for this tribute. You did a fantastic job honoring my dad. Thank you to all you who came out to pay their respects to my dad. He was the best guy you could ask for. The best dad, the best husband, the best brother and friend to all. He always downplayed his role in the firehouse. He wasn't one to brag at all. We (my sisters and I) learned so much about my dad while we were down for his funeral. He talked about calls he would go on, but not about the other ways he served. The people we spoke to about him, all had praises. He was well loved by his community. We will all miss him terribly. I love you dad.
God bless his family.
Thank you Bleckley County Fire Department for this wonderful tribute to my brother Ned! Words cannot express the gratitude I have in my heart for helping to memorialize Ned Dow! He will be missed by many family and friends! Thank You
Ned will be missed so much by so many in our community. He was a good man.
Ned Dow was a good man. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
