Cait held her own very well, but Trist played perfectly for this strategy too. She was always watching Tilt to join him in killing the enemy jungler, putting her back even further, while Trist gains gold. Win win.
I mean, trist starts off the game with 3/0, has insane wave clear from lvl 1 and is one of the biggest lane bullies mid. If she doesnt use her Prio and strong early game to fuck off the enemy jungle or roams to side lanes she would be actually griefing the game. So yeah you could tell trist is a good mid laner for this strategy
i think saying cait held her own is a bit of an understatement.. even having an adc that doesnt just outright crybaby at not having a support is great, but having one literally 1v2 throughout laning? far more impactful than what youre saying imo

Nerfing catchup experience should be GOOD for double jungle! It lets you shut out enemy junglers harder, and allows for more skill differential in jungling.
its a double edged sword, it helps him because of that but hurts both ally jg if he decides to take allied side camps
The other jungle should be invading and eating the enemy jungle. Thats the point of it.@@Miwhe
Do people even read the patch notes, the only thing that changed was RARE cases where the catch-up XP calculation got rounded and triggered
"Players have been voicing frustration over the recent strength of jungle, we heard you, and we're nerfing catchup exp, that way, if a jungle runs away with the game, now your jungler will be in even worse of a spot."
That's great, it makes games faster and i'm always glad to have faster games (It avoids coin flips in late game)
I mean this is intended to reduce the usefulness of ganking as being 2 levels behind from permaganking should now be more problematic even if your team is ahead.
There should be little to no catch up exp. Its kind of silly to absolutely demolish an enemy jungler and then they clear a camp or two, or catch a wave and are back even in exp even though they are 50+ cs behind you.
I think the best way to fix jungle is to revert it back to what is was before pre season and make it so Junglers get 25%-50% exp from minions until 10 minutes and get rid of catch up exp completely. There is too much incentive for a junlger to skip camps to catch waves. Even from ganks, the kill exp and then the exp you get from pushing the wave in most situations sky rockets you ahead. You are a fool to not hyper gank in the current meta. There really isn't a downside. But if you power farm, the downside is that you leave your team to a 4v5 and you fall behind in gold and exp.
Riot created the problem but refuse to fix it. Jungle is strong so they nerfed power farming and created a hyper ganking, toxic meta that nobody likes. Jungle is still strong, so they nerf exp in the jungle to try and balance it which forces junglers to hyper gank more to stay relevant. They nerf counter jungling which makes the hpyer gank meta worse because you can no longer punish them while they repeat gank. They rework jungle and add cool new pets and new leash ranges/camp aggro and got rid of the counter jungle nerf!!! Jungle is still strong and hyper ganking. Its almost like the the jungle itself is fine and the problem is the result of hyper ganking and having no downside to it.
"Jungle is strong" is not the issue, the issue is that jungle has ganked 10 times before 10 minutes and has a exp and gold lead, while the other junlger MAYBE has a slight CS lead.
Its just like hyper roam support. So incredibly strong, yet soooooooo toxic. Nothing better than the support saying hello to you in mid lane 5 times before level 6. At least they don't get to go back and farm their camps afterwards like junglers and catch back up in exp.

counter jungling was pretty much useless with the catch up xp. It was a get out of jail free card that shouldn't exist in the first place. You could set them back half the jungle and it really didn't matter. you got a bit more gold but no real xp gap.

Would love to see you go into the replays and show us just how much experience enemy junglers are getting from those single kills after getting denied their camps. That first one Lillia seems like it could have been an entire level in 1 kill or more. Great stuff as always.

Ngl, I'm a Support main who has been losing faith on my ADCs lately, and watching so many of these makes me unconsciously roam a bit too much
And to be honest, I can see why this works so well. The adc plays safely and consequently more consistent than one with the confidence of a sup besides it, and gains exp to scale faster than the other. Enemy botlane might even underestimate the later, and the now weakier adc being left alone every now and then if the sup decides to try and counter the second smite.
Even with camping, it wouldn't make up to the enemy jungler for all the stolen camps, bullying and objective. It's either a loss of time to share even more resources while losing elsewhere, or just not help at all.
I barely played against double jingling but I think forcing pushing to get free plates can really be helpful. If an enemy is away, you can always push, get some plates gold and let the wave reset.
If your laner doesn't manage the wave well and keeps pushing then dying to a gank or their opponent because they didn't farm in a safe-enough position for them, you can just rotate elsewhere. You might even make one of the junglers to show up like that, either to help push back or to gank, and you can deep ward to know that in advance, which isn't a problem since you're the jungle and are roaming anyway.
And if one of your teammates is smart enough to push and go roam, you can get strong pushes or ganks.
So generally if you're being pressured hard in thr jungle you can pressure lanes hard in return.
If the enemy botlane has brain, they camp the first bush lvl 1 and dont let your adc touch exp. they will crash a huge wave with a slow push and dive the enemy adc 3 v 1. Your adc loses the first 3 waves and is down 1-2 lvls from now on. The wave bounces back, enemy botlane can freeze in front of tower and zone the lvl 1-2 adc from ever touching farm or exp. It doesnt matter how much your jungler suffers, especially when its a seju or maokai. The only reason why this shit works is the stupidity of botlaners not understanding wave management and crash/gank timers of your own jungler.
@@freunddeswaldes575 I think it shows more how much more effect the jungler has on the game compared to ADC. ADC is such a shit role now that even tho you get a huge advantage 2v1 lane u can't do shit to impact the game

@@MinhVo-r7o My thoughts exactly. I've seen adcs being redundant no matter if they are fed or feeding, the former being a backup role to another laner that got strong just to take some attention out of them.

does anyone actually realize how stupid this is? you play well, get ahead, then you die ONCE and give all the gold back. this literally makes the game more coinflip and less skill based for no reason.
They added it to reward bad players, they want retain players who refuse to learn the game so they don't stop playing it.
There is a reason why they keep adding comeback mechanics/plants and removing interactions like the jungle camps having unique effects.
Plus I swear to god the matchmaking is rigged aswell. I play in gold, go 15-3 w-l and suddenly I have an afk 4 games in a row. The 50%wr force is fucking brutal.

Totally theory-crafting here, but if jungle and bot can coordinate to set back their adc and bot help jungle take bot side camps, that's huge W for bot side. Top lane can play weak side tank or whatever. That's why this strategy has never even been tried in pro play but works wonder in soloq

The way to counter it is obvious. You’re not playing a support, you’re playing a second jungle, so obviously you counter it by punishing the fact there is no support botlane. Play through botlane and perma dive the ADC, or freeze so that if they try to walk into EXP range they die for it. The enemy gets a stronger jungler but you get a stronger ADC, it’s up to the ADC to carry at that point. Obviously draft accordingly, you’re gonna have a strong ADC so draft a hypercarry, you’re gonna have a shitstomped jgler so don’t pick Master Yi. lol
