Love how you went from “I don’t like/get Pinterest” to “im a Pinterest girly now” bc SAME that was literally me 2 years ago lol at first I didn’t get the hype at all and didn’t understand what the app is for and then suddenly I was obsessed saving pins and creating boards here and there
If you take the plastic part off your sewing machine it makes it easier to sew in the round. It just slides right off. I hope this helps! Love the video!
@@nowayhome20878 if you go to the time around 5:31 you can see the front part of the sewing machine (with the sticker), that plastic part usually if not always can be taken of so it's easier to fit for example arm holes or other small tubes of fabric, i think that's what they're talking about :)
Some tips for those looking to recreate some of these transformations: - Use a zigzag stitch or elasticated thread when sewing on trim on areas you need to stretch, like the collar and cuffs. That will let things stand up to all the pushing and pulling you'll be doing when your put it on and take it off, without threads snapping. - Start from the bottom corners of the tote bag so you can get the trickiest bit out of the way first. You'll find you'll be able to sew closer to the actual bottom of the bag when you wrestle the needle into the annoying bulky bit than when you're moving towards it. - If you're worried about embroidery placement, you can measure to the centre front (or cheat by folding in half, sides both pulled back so the front is showing) and then putting a chalk mark at around the middle height of where you want your design. That mark should go right in the centre of your embroidery hoop. - You can also embroider by hand in a hoop with a backing fabric for stability! It will take longer than machine or adding a patch, but it's still a nice option!
All the helpful comments are so sweet 😭 I love watching her vids because I appreciate that she’s a beginner as well and enjoy reading the comments for some tips & advice
also for the 8:20 part! you can put the bobbin thread as black and the top thread as white! that way the bottom will come out matching the bag and the top matching the lace!
love love how the sailor moon sweatshirt turn out but my favorite has to be the asymmetrical black top with the red heart and sleeves! it's everything!! looking forward to more thrift flip videos from you!
for the problem you encountered with the white thread on the back of the tote: you can change just the bobbin (bottom thread) to black while leaving the top white! that way the top will match the trim, and the bottom will match the bag
It looks like your sewing machine may have a "free arm", which will make sewing things with tiny openings like cuffs easier. Basically, the outer area around the needle plate slides off, leaving a smaller "arm" the cuff will fit around. Hopefully that helps? Anyhow, love your creative vision -- everything came out so great!
Honestly, I had zero expectations for the designs, but I found them really cute overall! Nice to see people getting creative instead of waiting for big corporations to make the things they want to have.
For the bag or if you have a project where the fabric is a different color on the top and the bottom you can switch out your bobbin to a different color so it doesn’t show up on the bottom just make sure they’re the same type of thread so the thread tension doesn’t get messed up🥰
For the pink top....take a bit of that table runner and add it to the seam on the sleeveless side to give you more space (or use a bit of ribbon or lace as an insert). I did this with a pair of jeans & 💕💕 the outcome!!
thank god youtube recommended me your channel! You're so cute and fun and i have no fashion girlies on my yt that ACTUALLY make their own clothes! i do fashion in college and i only just started getting a little more confident with sewing so watching ur vids will give me lots of motivation. I loved this video sm, it was really entertaining and all the little projects came out amazinglyyy. its the best feeling ever when the diy just goes right lmaoo. Also, i really love ur room too. You just got a new subscriber bb , keep it uppp
i struggle so much w thrift flips but after watching this video you have taught me the value of throwing ruffles on everything! so maybe ill do that lol
When you are sewing “tube” forms like sleeves or your tote bag, you can remove the platic “u” shape section of your sewing machine that’s below the foot. That way you can mount the sleeve over a smaller section and you can just have one side of the sleeve. The other one will be below the section.
I love how you did the sweatshirt! I have a couple that I never wear, might have to give that a try. For the tote bag if you swapped your bobbin thread to black and kept the white on top then it wouldn’t show on the back like that :)
I have a babylock verve sewing machine, it is the best purchase EVER! It can sew, quilt and do embroidery. I highly recommend it! It's computerized so you can add your own designs AND it is self threading which is perfect for me because I'm emo and my hair is directly in front of my eyeballs.
I love these! I kinda wish you would of went with the bow pendent but to each their own! Love your chanel it’s so fun! Btw I’m over 40 and still love this style. Never stop being creative and playing dress up!
Ah to own an embroidery machine. I dont have one but I've been learning how to embroider by hand and have been stocking up on as much thread for cheap as I can. Now I've got a shirt I'm planning on making (twice in different fabrics) that I've also planned on pretty large and elaborate embroider designs... only slightly wishing I had a machine to do this work now
8:40 So the white thread doesn't show up, you can wind up another bobbin with black thread and use that while keeping the white thread on top 😉 😄 I recommend keeping a black and white bobbin full, nice and handy, as those tend to be the most common color combos to camouflage the thread into the matching fabric
Hey a little tip: You should be able to remove a part of the embroidery plate so you can just put the sleeve over it and sew the band more easily. You can check the instruction manual of your sewing machine to see if it's possible.
Im new here so idk if u have mentioned what embroidery machine you have and i was wondering if u could tell me which one it is, would love to get one!!! ❤ loved ur video by the way
Omggg literally been wanting to learn the same too! But, now I just wear platform shoes all the time haha the extra 4-5 inches have kept me from learning lol

OMFGGG tbh I totally forgot that comes off! That would’ve helped during this whole process🤦🏻♀️✨
Hi I am planning to buy the same sewing machine I quite did not understand. What plastic are we talking about?
@@nowayhome20878 if you go to the time around 5:31 you can see the front part of the sewing machine (with the sticker), that plastic part usually if not always can be taken of so it's easier to fit for example arm holes or other small tubes of fabric, i think that's what they're talking about :)

If you get some backing for your embroidery projects, it won't pull like that😊
I did use stabilizer but I think I pulled the fabric a lil toooo tight😅
@@twinelle Oh, got it! It still looks cute as heck though!

Def inspired me to add some cute decorations to my tote bags! 💖
Yuuuuuusssss!!! Let’s make our tote bags CUUUUUTE!✨
LACE IS AMAZING!!! I love adding lace to everything even if its not clothes hehe
The crew neck was def my fav!!! Too cute! Great Job on all of the thrift flips girly
I just changed a few drawstrings with elastic on some pants. Now they fit me better with the elastic. 😁 so my projects are done for now.
U r so cool mane. I wanna get more into being sustainable and just diy in general. This inspired me fr.

So cute!! Love those crew necks - you have a great eye bae! Gratitude for the inspiration 🙏
I watch literally every single video u post. My favourite channel for sure 💜
Late to the party but please, omg, that black-red one sleeve was amazing!
I love the pants you’re wearing during your day 2 projects!
Thanks! They’re the polyester zine X hot lava wrestler trousers❤️🔥✨
do you mind me asking where you got that pink velvet top you were wearing during your promo?
Wow such great outfits you totally rocked it I loved and really enjoyed watching ❤
OMG the valentine tops ❣️ soooo cute
Riiiiiiiight!!! I’m so happy they came out good!💗💗💗
That blue dress!! U can take off zipper n add loops so like a corset! Lots of UT videos to show u how!
You could add bows where the handles are and I think that would help the chain not look off 😄💕✨
YOURE A FREAKIN GENIUSSS!! I love that idea!! Gonna go find ribbon for bows when I’m back in town!🤩
Everything is so cute and turned out so well!
35 degrees in Phoenix this morning! Freeze warning from midnight to 9:00 a.m. this morning! Highs today 56
Oooo that’s pretty chilly! Los Angeles has a low of 43 and n high of 67 today✨
gworllllll u rlly DID SUM w that red and black top!!! i need one 🤲🤲🤲
Hehehee thank youuu! I gave one away on my Whatnot livestream! I giveaway another in IG soon🥰✨
Using a black marker to hide your thread is so genius. I’m doing that next time I have visible thread 😂😂
When you mentioned black marker that reminded me exactly of somebody I needed to do today
i have been WAITING for this video, you have noo idea anyways i think everything wass so good
Ahhhh thank youuuuuu SO much!🥰✨
Loved what you did with each thrift flip! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Glad to find you. I clicked for the hime haircut tbh but stayed for the content 🌟
Ahhh thanks!! I’ve had my hime hairstyle for 2 years now so I’m growing it out for a wolf cut next!🤩
Girl I love your energy 😍 so much great inspo 🙏
this looks so fun omg can't wait to experiment stuff with the sewing machinr
Bruh that sailor moon jumper... oh lord... AaaaaaAAaaaaaaaa it's beautiful
Hehehhe thanks!🥰✨
The Sailor Moon sweatshirt was my style as is, but I really like how you made it your own. :)
What sewing machine do you have. I’ve been looking to get a new one that’s hopefully a lot quieter and has good tight stitching
I have the singer heavy duty 4411✨
Those are all so cute!!!! Awesome job :)
Thank youuuu🥰✨
Hey a little tip: You should be able to remove a part of the embroidery plate so you can just put the sleeve over it and sew the band more easily. You can check the instruction manual of your sewing machine to see if it's possible.
Use black thread with black fabric. I’ve the same colored thread as any fabric you use. Best wishes. You have a good start in the world of sewing.
coloring in the thread with a black marker is so real of you XD
I would totally add that hot pink lace as a strap for the other side of your red arm pink top. X
If you're in Brisbane, you can get the exact same ruffle lace trim at Tradway in Stapylton!
these came out amazing, super cute !!
Sewing cuffs you must remove the compartment box so that its more narrow so you can like slip the machine inside the cuff makes it so much easier
Some great ideas in here! Love the sailor moon diy!!
Wait where I’m la do you get your lace please ❤❤
at the start i kinda thought okay weird cloathes and it dosent match and all but 13:15 damn that looks good though like with the skirt and all
Ahhh thank you! I shoulda styled all the items but tbh got lazy so I’ll fs style all items next thrift flip video!🥰✨
make the bobbin thread the same color as the bag (black) so your stitching looks black from the bag-side and white/lavender from the ruffle-side.
Im new here so idk if u have mentioned what embroidery machine you have and i was wondering if u could tell me which one it is, would love to get one!!! ❤ loved ur video by the way
Hi hi! I’m using the brother pe800✨
i literally have all of my projects i need to get to *in an ikea bag* right now lmaoo
You can switch the bobbin thread to black so your stitch is invisible on both sides for your tote bag!
I love it your video, learning English with you 💕
using the black sharpie to cover it up was so relatable 😪
For the tight top you can slit the others side use eyelets make make it a lace up top
Excited to watch this, greetings from cold Europe🤍
Ahhhhhh thanks so much for tuning in! Hope you’re keeping warm🥰✨
EEEE THIS IS SO USEFUL AND GIVES ME SOME IDEAS
Yaaaaaaayyyy!!! So glad it offered some inspo!🥰✨
Where do you buy your lace ribbon? 😊❤
I go to Trim 2000 Plus - 820 maple Ave unit 9 - the owner is super wishy washy with prices but he has the best selection✨
Amazing vid! Also where did you get the sewing machine from?
My sewing machine is the brother pe800✨

That Sailor Moon sweatshirt 😭💖
have you sold the embroidery machine? if not i am definitely interested!!
Hey do you have a good embroidery machine recommendation and a decent price thanks

What's the name of the machine you use to sew please?
I use a singer heavy duty 4411✨
where is your ccs shirt from or how did you make it?😭

ogs remember when you didn't like pinterest
Lololol ima changed woman!💁🏻♀️✨
Hopefully I’ll use this video to motivate myself to learn how to hem pants 😭 being a grown ah 4’11 person sucks for pants shopping
Omggg literally been wanting to learn the same too! But, now I just wear platform shoes all the time haha the extra 4-5 inches have kept me from learning lol
@@twinelle exactly why I wear platform sneakers/boots 😂
Why not put the moon accessory on the SAILOR MOON SWEATSHIRT 😭😭
It wasn’t that noticeable against the gold😭but I was thinking the same thing!!!
I wish you would do more videos like this one
I feel so bad cuz I wondered if the cuff thing would happen when you were doing it 😢I’ve done it before too
Lololol the cuffs are just soooo small it’s hard to continue pulling and stretching as I sew🥲✨
Where to get laces like them?
Does any one know where to get the colourful trim? (I think she may have forgotten to put it in the description)
What is the name of your embroidery machine?
