    Soooo good! Thanks Renee. Easy, delicious, fresh and more importantly for me is that it’s not as intimidating as I thought. Love the hit of citrus 🤗🥰

    This is the third vlog I’ve seen now. The Canteen is now on my bucket list. I love every ingredient in this recipe. Unfortunately I can’t find Tidal Bay here in Vancouver. I’ll have to look harder. Cheers from Vancouver eh!

    Really love your videos Renee!! So wonderful, as is your food that I’ve been so lucky to enjoy. The best brown rice I’ve ever had was your sous vide rice you did for a Korean pop up dinner years ago. I’d love to know how you cooked the rice??

    Hi Renee, do you wash the rice before you cook with it?

    • @TheCanteenCooks
      @TheCanteenCooks  3 роки тому

      I don’t wash Arborio before making risotto. Other types of rice are important to rinse depending on the type
      Of recipe

    Where do you find or buy shirvle? I am not sure how to spell it. I have never heard of this herb. What does it taste like?

      Chervil can sometimes be found that the regular grocery store and mostly always available at a specialty grocery like Pete’s.

    Did you adjust the Risotto ingredient amounts for the video? It seems like there was way more butter at the start, not sure about the rice and only a little wine to deglaze, not the two cups listed. Two cups seem like a lot. I love this dish at the restaurant and would like to try to make it. Thanks for the videos.

    Hello Chef Renee. Can I cook risotto without any cheese or dairy? Your recipes are so awesome and mouth watering. Thank you.

      I would suggest using a harder cheese sharper cheese, but you can use something creamier too. Experiment! There aren't necessarily any rules when it comes to this. 😀

    Did you use salted or unsalted butter?

    • @TheCanteenCooks
      @TheCanteenCooks  3 роки тому +1

      Good question. I used salted butter for this recipe so I have to take that into consideration when seasoning the dish.

  • @eduardoserrano5453

    If you use butter, you can add olive oil to prevent the butter from burning.

    For the risotto it looks more like 3 Tblsp and not 1 tbls as the recipe calls for. What is it, one or three?

    Do you cook steaks, burgers, chops? The risotto and scallops looked and probably tasted even better.
