Aku dah test bawak naik genting sampai puncak. 4 org dewasa 2 budak kecil. Mendaki agak meyakinkan walaupun perlu tekan padel minyak lebih menggunakan Mod gear SPORT. Bila turun perlu berhati hati sikit sebab gear mod sport tak boleh turun ke gear rendah ikut kehendak kita so sistem brake baru yang besar banyak membantu. Handling tak payah cerita memang best. Penggunaan minyak juga agak jimat. Overall memuaskan untuk cc 1.3 ni. Terbaik proton.
If this car is this much fun to drive, imagine if it has a 5 speed manual or 5 speed auto with pedal shift. Goes to show that the guys who tuned this chassis really know what they're doing.

Just got my saga 1.3 premium a week ago and after seeing this video I just realise that I haven't use the full potential on my saga yet.. Great driving. Such precise skills can only be obtained by years of experience. Definitely gonna tell ma friends to watch this channel.
Top Gear top tip: This is a prime example where a Pedal Shifter would be advantageous. 99% of other driving scenarios wouldn't need a pedal shifter, even if it means bringing the car up to 160kph.
The choose is on you. If you want an economic car. Go for bezza. If you want a perfomance car. Go for saga. Because they use different type of engine, handling, system.
@@kapasmuka9115 Its been almost 2 years now. No major problems so far. There are plenty of minor problems here and there some of which i couldn't stand are; dim halogen lights, creaking noises on the steering wheel while turning, mediocre brakes, and what bugs me most is the sluggish gear box. As compared to my company's car, Bezza, the Saga handles better, feels more solid and comfortable to drive in. But when it comes to fuel efficiency and gear box response, the Bezza wins hands down albeit having a CVT transmission. The Saga isnt too bad really, but I guess it always boils down to 'you get what you pay for'. 😃
Have not seen such great review for quite a while! He definitely Knows the limit of the car and had given more than enough technically sound information and very fair comments about the car

I like the way you test this car and the way you explain how to achieve optimal acceleration with this meagre-powered car on these steep roads. Too many people buy cars with small horsepower ratings and expect their cars' throttle & gearshift responses to be as similar as those with 150hp or above.

I have no choice but to stick to the test drive routes already set by the showrooms, so the only time I get to "test" the car's acceleration is at the traffic light junctions and minor overtaking actions.

Based on your footage, the overall balance of the 2019 Proton Saga seems to be progressive understeer, a very safe and easily controllable setup. This car can easily be made to handle better by swapping the terrible 185/55/15 Silverstone tyres for a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE03 195/50/15 tyres. It seems that this car is basically a softer version of what my Proton Gen 2 CPS is in terms of overall handling, with relatively similar overall handling balance to my car but softer and more comfort biased. I've installed a 3 point front strut brace and a 19mm rear antiroll bar and instead of ending up with heavy but easily recoverable understeer at the limit of grip it now stays close to neutral until the limit of grip, giving up with minor oversteer that's easily recoverable with minor counter steering and minor throttle lift. The OEM setup can be recovered from at the limit understeer with just a throttle lift to tuck the nose back in line and straightening the steering a bit, no real counter steering required if your inputs aren't too jerky. In short, if you're just an ordinary driver who desires comfortable ride and safe handling the OEM setup is perfectly fine, but for those who want a more neutral handling car, a suitable rear antiroll bar does wonders.

To Proton Engineers or whom it may concern, it you one of those read this. Request YS Khong to test the handling of the prototype car first before officially launch the new car or new version. I know there are other tester in your department but from all videos that we viewers saw, believe YS khong will give constructive feedback regarding gearbox,engine,handling, what need to add and improve,praticallity and ect. so that Proton at least same par with other manufacturer. Actually it doesn't matter what kind of car it is or vehicle...it all depends on the driver. In the end it all comes down to whether you like the car or dont like the car regardless of what is is equipped.

The reason I'm still loyal to proton is because it will make you feel the car using tayar tebal. that is why proton car are still comfortable even at rough road compare to other local & japan brand. because the suspension setup in proton is not only for cornering, but to run smoothly even on rough road. which you only can get at continental brand such as bmw. but saga is stupidly affordable when you compare it to bmw price.

To Proton Engineers or whom it may concern, it you one of those read this. Request YS Khong to test the handling of the prototype car first before officially launch the new car or new version. I know there are other tester in your department but from all videos that we viewers saw, believe YS khong will give constructive feedback regarding gearbox,engine,handling, what need to add and improve,praticallity and ect. so that Proton at least same par with other manufacturer. hearing tyre scratching everywhere, I knew you! uncle driving quite fast compare to the other 'normal' people. Of cos! because gong gong / lao ye is a rally champion :D
The reason I'm still loyal to proton is because it will make you feel the car using tayar tebal. that is why proton car are still comfortable even at rough road compare to other local & japan brand. because the suspension setup in proton is not only for cornering, but to run smoothly even on rough road. which you only can get at continental brand such as bmw. but saga is stupidly affordable when you compare it to bmw price.

Not really. Still need the brakes. Downside is there is no downshift available
