I've just found out that SMSL also has the D12 amp/dac, which uses the same dac chip as the C100, has a relatively low powered amp, and gets rid of the optical and coaxial inputs. At $170, it's priced in between the C100 and C200.

I tested both SMSL c100 and their new cheaper and simpler SU-1 DAC in my system. I returned the c100, the SU-1 just sounded much better, even though they had the same AKM chip.

Thank you for the reply. I was just wondering if I should return the SU-1 and get the C100 for the remote. I use the dac for my TV / WIIM / Videostreamer, dont want to get off the couch everytime I switch. Seems like SU-1 is the way to go.

I do have th T9 from Aiyiama, very nice, but I want have more power, so I thought to buy a nice mini poweramp, which one I should take, what should be your advice?

I have a Fiio k3 (old one) connected to smsl sh6, every fan in the computer is audioble. would you recommend this as a replacement? Thank you very much in advance.
Do you mean you hear electrical noise from the computer? The C100 should be better but I can't guarantee it. You could also consider the Topping HS02.

I wane hook this up between my pc and fosi amp for my dali opticon 2 mk ii would i be able to hook a subwoofer up to this dac?
You'd have to use an RCA splitter. It's probably not the best solution. Better to get something with 2.1.

And the subwoofer qeustion was because it had coax on the back for a powerd sub
Because i thought that a dac is just for giving signal to a powerd subwoofer

Well dx1 if you want a headphone amp obviously. C100 if you want Bluetooth and/or mqa
how it compares to FX Audio Dac-m1
Pretty similar in sound but the c100 is slightly more neutral where dac m1 has more body. Dac m1 also has headphones output making it more versatile.
