Those XM1’s look VERY offhand friendly. Prolly drag it around the woods all day and it wouldn’t be too bad. Very nice lookin rig homie. Excellent shooting as well.
@gumbystown Yessir I love mine. Yeah haven't had it out lately do to my compressor situation. But thanks to Nibs I'm back now! Have been shooting my Hatsan Neutron Star it's a beast in .177 any hoot, cheers!
@@genemckeel1432 well I like Barrel bands I don't believe every gun has to have one but I believe most guns like them and I usually put them on there just because of me leaning them up against the wall or the table just making sure they stay perfectly aligned for when I grab them the next time ....this one I got off of eBay and this one I had no difference in accuracy with it or without it still spot on.
@@gumbystown Tx brother. I just recently purchased the Ranger. I noticed the end of the shroud was almost resting on the air tube. I noticed the same thing in another Ranger being reviewed on UA-cam. I ordered the barrel band from Amazon and it was just delivered last night. After installing, the shroud and air tube are equally spaced throughout the entire length. I was happily surprised how solid the shroud is seeing how there was some play before the installation. Virtually no movement in the shroud now. Accuracy was a concern but you have answered that question. You’ve made me feel better in that regard, lol. Thanks again my friend.
That looks sweet! Do you recommend this over their bullpup? I am going to pick up a couple airguns for more development. My shortlist is currently: 1. This one, or bullpup 2. Artemis, not sure which model yet 3. JTS airacuda Any others you recommend looking at?
@@evolve3dprinting that's a hard choice between the Scout or the bull shark on which one I like better but I like 25 caliber better so I shoot the Scout more I can tell you you can make a lot of parts needed for the bull shark though.
@@gumbystown thanks so much! It’s been a crazy year with my full time work so I haven’t been able to develop as much this year. Love your videos! Looks like you are in a great location! Love getting outdoors when the weather starts to cool off!
I hope it is improved over the ATAC model, I bought one in the 22 caliber and you can not hit a 5 gallon bucket at 30 feet 2 out of 6 shots. That is after 2000 shots, they sent me 3 different scopes and I tried several different types of pellets. Worst air gun that I ever owned
@billyhead1625 yeah you can't compare that break barrel to this gun ...all the Stoeger guns that are Artemis / snow-peak manufactured air guns are far superior..... I don't know who makes those break barrels but yeah break barrels unless you spend $500 on a break barrel they're not going to be accurate like this. I have a Stoeger break barrel also that doesn't shoot good. Bummer yours doesn't shoot good. Thanks for watching

Great review! Thanks!
Nice looking airgun Derrick!

@renterp it is very off hand friendly which is good for when I'm walking around our little ranch here taking out the ground squirrels.
Very 😎
Awesome!
@Indiana424 you have one I haven't seen a video in a while do you like yours?

I noticed you have an aftermarket barrel band installed on your Scout. Could you tell me more about it? Love your informative videos BTW.

I found the barrel band on amazon, ebay and esty. It has worked really well for me.
I'm thinking this will be my first PCP since it's regulated. I'm a springer guy coming over to the Dark Side. .22
Hello Derrick!
I would love to know where you got the Artemis M30a barrel shroud. It would be much appreciated.
I was told to buy the Artemis M16a because it's the same frame, and easier tinkering.
Possible to put the Tube from the Ranger on the Scout? ty
@@filoIII you could
M16A is the cousin of the XM1, right? I want that big bottle from the M16A on the XM1. Please see if you can do that. ty
