I remember Scott Weiland and Aaron Lewis doing this song on Family Values. It was EPIC. I feel lucky to have seen him perform before he passed. Rest In Peace Scott.
Rest easy Weiland , and thank you for giving everything to music! You helped a lot of people through a lot of shit!! Even throughout VR days and after!!
David Lee Roth was mine but my husband is a lil younger and he swears Scott Weiland was the greatest front man of all time. I think for his generation he is right
Forward yesterday makes me wanna stay,. What they say is real, makes me wanna feel. Aaron lewis was blessed with a voice that sounds beautiful doing any genera.
It's not just the unplugged version. There is also a studio release variant with the second verse sung like that, it's the one they always play on waaf here in Boston. Unfortunately, I can't find that version on iTunes, or anywhere for that matter. Definitely the better version of the song.
Aaron doesnt need any certain "acknowledgement" from ANYBODY, his voice is legendary already, and as far as staind, they were the top of the food chain in their era, nothing to apologise for there, eventually all bands phase out over time, its just the way it is!! And no, he isnt thought of the same way fred durst is!!
I was at this show on a first date with my now wife. Almost this spot in the bar too. I was wearing a chive shirt and a dude bought me a beer. Best night ever🥃
There is a version that he did with Scott where If I remember correctly the whole thing was a two part harmony. I don't know if a video even exists, but It rocked hard
Jarrett Weeks Wish I could find a better version I believe this is from the family values tour 2001, seen the tour back in 2001 in MN and it by far is one of my favorite memories. ua-cam.com/video/a5v2akRUhhM/v-deo.html
Oh, man this is great. I remember being in 10th grade when "Core" came out, and that and AIC, Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone/Pearl Jam, etc. were huge bands, then. Glad he did this for Scott, was such a talent just like all the others that fell to that horrible addiction. Fucking drugs...
All my life ive loved nothing more than music. And then our heroes take their life. I KNOW depression. When Kurt & Shannon & Layne & Scottie left us for hopefully better days, I thought my world would collapse. Honest to God, I don't even know how I'm still here. I was born in 1958. I know, I'm old as fuck. But I went to my 1st concert when i was 12. There's never been anything even slightly close to your 1st concert. Well, except for seeing Zepplin (what a party that was!!! Got in line like 2 day's previous. (I know he's gone, but I love Bill Graham ) I was trying to pin down my favorite music. But that is impossible. At least for me. HEY Y'ALL IN THE BAY, LET'S HAVE MORE DAY'S ON THE GREEN!!!!! All I can say is pass that shit to me.
Definitely did the tune some justice! Must agree with @regbale that a killer additional vocal for the other parts of the tune would have made this a slam dunk. The steel guitar player just playing those extra parts would have been awesome too.
Since he switched gears and moved into country he is actually more country then the "country" artist!...This dude is legit! I suggest checking out his country album.
"things don't mean a thinnnng!" 2:49 lol aaron lewis is one of my favorite singers but the amount of fucks he does not give when it comes to how correct the lyric are, is truly out of this world. lol
crunk bunk hahahaha I've always joked that someone should get Aaron Lewis a hearing aid. His covers are amazing, but I'll be damned if every single one of them don't have an incorrect lyric or 3 in them. 😂
Aaron Lewis has got to be one of the most important rock singers and song writers. I really hate how he's doing country music now 🤢. Lol but seriously, his rock side is just incredible.....
He does a lot of his rock songs @ his 'country shows'. Lots of his country is acoustic too.. I saw him live @ the Sands Bethlethem and he played Outside, It's been a while, tangled up in you, and so far away
His country is awesome too. I absolutely hated country never listened to any country songs until aaron was in town and my brother in law wanted to go to his concert so I went and now i have an entire playlist of his country songs. This is when he does a lot of these covers and tributes. I've since been to 2 more of his country concerts..he's a hell of a performer
I'm not the biggest fan of Aaron's songs that he wrote himself, they're okay I guess, BUT I love his covers ! A lot of the songs he covers are actually better than the original !
Keyc94 Licensing maybe? To cover them in front of a live audience is different than making a record with the purpose of profit. All the record companies that own the rights to those songs would likely want a cut. It would be a mess. Besides, there’s something special about his acoustic shows you would lose on a record. The last acoustic show of his I went to, at the very end of the show, for the final song, he plays “Outro” from 14 Shades of Grey off mic and at the edge of the stage. It was too cool. I bought the VIP tickets for that show so my brother and I got to hang out with Aaron for fifteen minutes before the show; when he took his final bow after playing Outro off mic, he gave my brother and I a little wink. He’s the man.
Yes, it is. Haven't you ever heard the song? I assume you mistook STP's "Creep" for Radiohead's "Creep." Both songs are great, but this is STP's song "Creep." There's also TLC's song, but I don't like them, so I choose not to comment on that song.
I remember Scott Weiland and Aaron Lewis doing this song on Family Values. It was EPIC. I feel lucky to have seen him perform before he passed. Rest In Peace Scott.
Hell yeah it was!
Wonder if someone recorded it
Unfortunatel Scott is bound. C non!!!!
Marvel super suc3d
Sa is because of the ewwo9
Aaron should totally record this song and add it to a new album full of all the covers he's done.
Ya I'd like that. I'd buy it on ITunes. His covers are so good.
+chefty86 That would be great. They should do a tribute album for Scott or something like that and have Aaron do this song.
chefty86 he truly paid tribute to a fallen legend Scott Weiland
I was there. This was in Indianapolis. It was the night Scott had died. Word started hitting as the doors opened.
John Currens I thought this was at 8 Seconds. I was there too, that night got a little blurry for me. Lol
I swear that dude can sing anything!!! And it sounds great!!
His voice is like no other ! Love Aaron Lewis !!! His music has been my therapy throughout the years !
We haven't forgotten you Scott, we love you and miss you.. Rest eternally dear Granny, bless you.💔
1937-2014;1967-2015.
Rest easy Weiland , and thank you for giving everything to music! You helped a lot of people through a lot of shit!! Even throughout VR days and after!!
Miss him so badly
David Lee Roth was mine but my husband is a lil younger and he swears Scott Weiland was the greatest front man of all time. I think for his generation he is right
Aaron Lewis, Shaun Morgan and Corey Taylor can nail cover songs like no one else!! So glad he did the original version ❣❣❣
This song is incomplete without
"These i feel as the dawn it fades to grey"
Was done out of respect.
Sounds amazing with steel guitar. Gives it a more haunting feeling.
sounds like it should be a garth brooks song
Love that steel guitar. I agree that it gives it a haunting feeling.
Forward yesterday makes me wanna stay,. What they say is real, makes me wanna feel. Aaron lewis was blessed with a voice that sounds beautiful doing any genera.
Excellent cover! 2:39 pays tribute to my favorite variation in vocals during the original MTV unplugged version
It's not just the unplugged version. There is also a studio release variant with the second verse sung like that, it's the one they always play on waaf here in Boston. Unfortunately, I can't find that version on iTunes, or anywhere for that matter. Definitely the better version of the song.
Actually that studio version was recorded on Headbangers Ball
@@RobbieJack78 I am 5 years late, but it is on Spotify. It is on the Core deluxe edition, or you can search for “creep new version”
@@tylerrose4416 God bless you, man! I just searched it up and found it for the first time thanks to your comment. Thanks again!
I like that the most. The variation of the vocals
This man is a tremendous talent. He can play any song and sounds amazing. BRAVO BRO! ! ! ! ! ! !
2:40. Killed it!
The radio version of this song is surprisingly unknown. Fantastic!
Referring to the way Weiland sang it with much more intensity an octave up.
i was there, great show once again, i have seen him a few times, i drove from Chicago to see him.
I cant think of a better song than Creep for these guys in Staind to perform for Scott! Good job
Only one guy here from Staind.
Aaron can pretty much sound great singing anything. Great tribute.
Brewery Tours of Temecula he is choosing what he can sing.you can not expect a skidrow from him

Aaron doesnt need any certain "acknowledgement" from ANYBODY, his voice is legendary already, and as far as staind, they were the top of the food chain in their era, nothing to apologise for there, eventually all bands phase out over time, its just the way it is!! Wow it’s why I’ve loved this man’s voice from day 1
I was at this show on a first date with my now wife. Almost this spot in the bar too. I was wearing a chive shirt and a dude bought me a beer. Best night ever🥃

Amo a este hombre. es ENORME, cuando lo escuchás te estremece lo que larga, porque lo larga desde las entrañas.
Absolutely

Nice cover. RIP Scott. ) :

Aaron Lewis could sing the friggin phone book and the hairs on the back of my neck would still rise to the sky xxx
the power of his voice blows me the fuck away every damn time
Nice rendition of the song "Creep" (STP) by Aaron Lewis...
Good stuff!
ohh shit, i think that is my bald ass head in front of the camera... i was standing around there and that looks exactly how my head looks.
Your head is now famous. Haha
I love this rendition. Way to go Arron 😚😚😚😚😚
I think I can hear myself scream in this.. don't feel bad
Since he switched gears and moved into country he is actually more country then the "country" artist!...This dude is legit! I suggest checking out his country album.
Аарон Льюис реально поёт от души. Гитара и голос потрясающие. Многие каверы в его исполнений звучат лучше оригинала.
Uau, amazing tribute!
RIP Scott Weiland and great job Aaron Lewis
pore raising tribute....rest in peace Scott
He said something like, This song is for a friend of mine who inspired me..
Aaron Lewis could have been the lead singer of any one of our favorite bands.

the guy behind Aaron is half the man he used to be he lost tons of weight lol
Amazing he is half
omg! if that's the same dude, he must have lost at least 200lbs.
That's him. Ben Kitterman.
B Thayer he used to be Aaron's bus driver. He lost over 300 pounds.
VarietyMusicLover best comment ever !!!!!

Scott weiland,Layne staley,Kurt Cobain and Shannon hoon are awesome!!! Just reallllllllyyyyyy sucks there gone
Underated, my ass, trying finding a ticket to a show.. dude is the shit.
Damm he’s good 👍
Add backing vocal and that would have been even better.
+MR. FUCR Calm down sir
+regbale i like to think it signifies the loss of Scott Weiland, with his absence in the backing. considering this was a tribute
Damn this is good.
Even the original artists alter the lyrics here and there during live performances. Happens a lot.
Sounds Good.
weiland was god musically Aaron is awesome as well

@@UA-camr1g I saw him there too 3 times. Twice for his country once for staind songs and it was awesome. What great performances
Good sound quality, I was up against the stage and heard a lot of guitar and not a lot of vocals. Damn good show though!
Just curious....what did he say right before he sang this?
God is there a cover Aaron can't do? And by do I mean absolutely nail.
God be more America.
I love Scott as well as all everybody else you choose to cover.
I'm not the biggest fan of Aaron's songs that he wrote himself, they're okay I guess, BUT I love his covers !
A lot of the songs he covers are actually better than the original !
Do you remember what he said before he started? It was something about one of his inspirations and something....
Hearing Unforgiven 3 in the verses...
Goat ropers need love too....

Stone Temple pilots,,not Nirvana,,my bad
I love Aaron Lewis and I love his singing he is a very good singer but I have to say I like Bettencourt version a wee bit better

Aaron has so much covers on youtube and could make 2-3 records with it and add some staind songs solo perfomance... but he doesnt why?
Keyc94 Licensing maybe? To cover them in front of a live audience is different than making a record with the purpose of profit. All the record companies that own the rights to those songs would likely want a cut. It would be a mess.
