I just did this mod yesterday! Ordered the silver emblem and wrapped it in carbon fiber. If your lexus has pcs (pre collision sensor) it will be a slightly different process to install. I should have made a video lol

I don't know why but my front emblem was such a pain to get off. I used a flathead and those lock rings still wouldn't come off, took me like 30 minutes and one of the rings fell down inside the back of the grill... I''m pretty sure my IS has PCS but luckily I didn't get any warnings or codes thrown. Went driving on the freeway just to be sure but so far so good. Now to do the rear emblem..

Your old emblem was a knockoff i think. If the pearl black paint gets chipped the plastic is supposed to be black.
These were the 1st things i got for my 16! The frontone was a pain lol i ended up reusing one of the lock washers from to old one. A good tip if your doing the AWD IS 300 emblem is to make a square with masking tape around the old emblem before you take it off so you can line it up pretty perfect to how it was before! Dont be suprised if you break one of the little tabs on the old front emblem taking it off
I did this mod 4 months ago and i still get compliments and people wondering what kind of lexus it is. I removed the "IS250" part too in the rear. Black pearl all around on a matador red Lex. Next thing im going to do is add the F-Sport fender badges in red and black and im done
I reccommend getting some kind of light polish to rub after u remove any titles like "IS250" as it may leave a shadow behind. I was lucky and didnt come up on that problem, but other people i know with other makes and models werent so lucky
Yeah I agree with the the polish part. It’ll definitely get rid of the left over print. Can help also with any 3M residue.

No you will have to make the holes yourself. Best is to mount the lip first to make the holes

Hey, where’s the license plate mount from ? I just recently got a 2018 is 300 f sport and want to see more of the mesh grille. New York requires 2 plates smh

Prob not the new ISs. You would have to check online if they got any available for your year
