I have a dog scooter, I've tried everything, this looks great, the Sacco cart has a new look over the older model, Nothing beats the scooter, the best mushing ever, nothing beats a scooter.
@pearlcatfish you can easily change the non-pneumatic tires for pneumatic ones, but the suspension works very well and the wheels are bigger then the Norwegian Sacco so the USA version of the cart is already smoother with wheels that require no maintenance. Your dog(s) will thank you for them. Disc brakes are more efficient and lighter then drum brakes so you don't need to fix what all ready works better.
I so want! One I Just don,t know where I can get one for my dog! I am in the uk so I would also need to know about shipping costs! But a site on where to look 1st would also help!
@SolusKrieger Na, it takes more speed and a tighter turning radius then you could make the dogs do when hooked up and pulling the cart. Even if you managed by trying to make the cart roll, the cart only weights about 60 pounds and with just a little practice you can undo the buckle with one hand. Actually there is more possibility to get some clothing stuck in the wheel without the harness on then getting trapped and crushed from an unlikely rolling over.
I wonder if the non-pneumatic tires can be switched to the push release pneumatic tires and drum brake that the Greenspeed Magnum uses, for a softer ride? Would be nice to see more close up videos of the American Sacco Cart.
Hi, your link is not active. Is the company still in business? I have a Sacco cart, but no dog large enough to pull it yet. I like how easily you put this cart together. I bought my cart used and have been looking for a manual for it.
@jktcz Sorry not yet, the new Sacco Cart is still new with only a dozen or so out in the world. I have a Whippet and he's fast but really underweight for this type of activity. I am hoping get some video to share once I have an opportunity to work with a more suitable K9 or get video of someone else's USA Sacco Cart in action. When I do get video I will be sure to post it on UA-cam.
I know that Sacco USA has been going through some restructuring for the USA market. Why their website is down is beyond me but I expect that they will regroup and have these things corrected soon. Visit goped.com and send them an email requesting for a manual. I believe they have a PDF copy they can email back to you with.
PetSmart is moving to carry them on their website but i could not say how long that will take if it has not happened already. Alternatively visit SaccoUSA.com
