- The L Mount alliance still in its infancy, hasn't really taken off. Panasonic, Leica and Sigma need a new friend. Enter Blackmagic. Joining the L mount alliance, a merge would disrupt the camera industry and shake our pants off.

Which system do you think has the best lens stab? I'm using Fuji and it jerks like a pervert, but I'd like to adapt something to a BMPCC4K and have it actually be useful. Panasonic? Kodak?
@@inhalantslearn ninja walk. If you still cannot get the smoothness, just use gimbal. Well at that point, most possibly, you're a professional getting paid.
Otherwise just stabilize it in post by cropping

Nope.. i dont agree. No need auto focus or stab. I can go for a BM cinema camera box form with all the features of an Arri 35 camera but at affordable price.

L Mount can be adapted to almost anything. I use all types of glass on my Sigma FP and it’s great. Voigtlander, Canon FD’s, even 645 medium format glass. It’s a very versatile mount.
To be fair , most SLR lenses from the past 70 years can be adapted to any mirrorless mount due to the shorter flange distance. But I'm all bout that panny love so rock on
Shame the only electronic adapters for L-mount are Canon EF and Nikon mounts.
Could do with some Pentax or crazy autofocus adapter for vintage lenses like those on Sony

Knowing BM, if they do go with an L-Mount it won't be Full Frame. And personally I'm completely okay with that. Full Frame is overrated, autofocus is for amateurs and ibis is for people spend all their money in camera instead of getting proper stabilizers and support.

I do like my BMPCC 6k Pro but when I put Sigma 50-100 on it tourists start visiting to see it. It's not "Pocket" anymore. BM needs to create a full frame, cinematic auto-focus, flip screen camera smaller than FX3.

The Sony ZV-E1 kind of already fills that space. Though a wouldn't mind BM putting it's own competition in that space.
I'd be happy with a S5ii that shoots uncropped open gate 4K60p and internal compressed BRAW.
@@frankfeng2701 I'll be happy too, but unfortunately you have to buy S1H Mk2 to get this. I bet S1H Mk2 will also record open Gate RAW 3:2.

You filming in a beautiful nature setting while screaming at daddy long leg spiders and bird turds might be the most relatable video I've watch yet. I sometimes wonder how people relax in nature when everything is trying to eat you, poke you, or poison you. It's much more comfortable in my Rolls Royce while taking snapshots with my Hasselblad. 🍄📽

The competition would be fierce if Panasonic with a potential S2H and BM FF "Pocket" Cinema camera came to market with the same mount. It might work though. Panasonic would allow you to use ProRes and BM would have BRAW.
I love my S1H and I love my Pocket 4K. This scenario would definitely make me think long and hard about which one to make my new A cam.
@@jerrytsunami I have braw from a gh5s by going out to a video assist all attached to an old ronin-s. it's a great setup, even though it's mft. the 12-bit straight off the gh5s sensor is much noisier, showing that the clean low light capability internally is partly internal processing. but in Resolve the noise can be dealt with in post, and the result is a very malleable image with great texture: making the best of the no-crop gh5s sensor.
You should do IRL videography classes, out in nature. What gems of wisdom you would bestow upon us can scarcely be imagined.

Zeiss distagons actually have THEEE best 3d rendition and pop. Start with the 35mm f2 NOT the 1.4
Also, there are modern voigtlander lenses with the same in Nikon and EF mount. The 58mm is compare to Leica quality for a criminally low price.

It would be perfect for davinci resolve's BRAW in a lumix styled camera. I'd actually use it.

Nah L-mount has the most pop out of any system if you go for Leica glass. I've owned the 50 summilux SL and now the 50 apo SL. The lumix S 1.8 lenses have more pop than the sigmas and just barely less sharp. The 50 1.4 S pro pops as well.

The C100 is an underrated camera, cheaper and with great colors. It's 8bit but for $500 US you can't beat that...or can you?

I would thoroughly enjoy a marriage between BM and Panasonic. I love the BMPCC OG, but it’s a pain in the ass to use!!! I have the small rig battery unit, but even that is not always reliable. I was trying to shoot with it with a fresh NPF battery and it suddenly stopped working and wouldn’t turn on. I unplugged and re-plugged everything.. nothing. No power. I went back home to grab my gh5 😅
We need the Original BMPCC 10 year Anniversary Edition.

I wish at least tilting screen (does not need fully articulating). And 3:2 sensor for Sirui Anamorphics :D.
Lmount is a good choice (much better than RF). Cheap PL 2 L adapters (to adapt real cinema glass). Already plenty of Lmount lenses to choose from. Samyang is even joining (officially) Lmount. So you can have your Leica I can have my Sirui and Panasonic lesnes :D.
YO, Samyang is joining the L Mount Alliance? I'm honestly so hyped for this. The only L mount lens I have is the 50mm f1.8. All the primes are pricey. This makes me unbelievably excited for new lenses to screw around with on my S5 that's not a vintage lens with way too much bloom on everything, or a 600 dollar prime lens.

I don’t care about L mount, but at least I can adapt it to PL mount unlike EF. I am just waiting for them to make a 6K Full Frame Pro with built in NDs so I don’t have to buy a bunch of nonsense filters.

Isn't the reason CC is '3D popping out of the frame', is that his composition has placed objects which are relatively close and others relatively far away, with others, including the subject, in between? I realise that lighting setups and depth of field, focus distance also play a part, but if what I say is the case, why does one lens brand or one lens+camera combination have more '3D ability' than another?

Not sure if it's just on my end but the shadows on your face while you're talking look kind of weird and smeared to me. I was gonna say "maybe it's an ISO thing" but I've no idea. In spite of that though, the image looks fantastic from this combo
