It is called an ear speculum. This is a funnel shaped instrument that allows easy access to the ear canal. Comfortable for the patient and the practitioner.
I wish you did more skin peels with the suction probe instead of snatching it out with the scissor like thing and then leaving so much still in the ear.
Thanks for visiting the channel. Peeling the skin can be very painful for most patients and is not necessary for the overall health of the ear canal. Therefore I don't routinely do it. Also I do not use scissors in the ear. I use alligator forceps which grips debris, no cutting involved so we de-bulk it, nothing more.

How long did your patient have this ear problem? Great video, super interesting! I'm sure they feel better.
They are all a little different presentation. Some have been that way for years others will be back in 6 months.
