Congrats on the milestone achievement! And also, the prevailing sentiment is that the stolen cards will be cracked out of the slabs and sold raw which will make it much harder to catch, especially if sold slowly over time. Really hope they are caught and at least most of the cards recovered!
My wife & I did Tropicana last month for our 25th anniversary as well. Parking was outstanding & so was the food. I forgot the shirt I bought my grandson under the seat. I called the next afternoon when I thought of it & asked about it, no luck. About an hour later the fella called me back, he had my number from caller ID, to tell me it was turned in & I could run by next morning before the game started & pick it up. Good things to say about the Rays folks!!
Being from outside the Atlanta area originally, my favorite part of this video was hearing you went to Mary Mac's. That's a great, historic place to eat!
Sure hope you have a special memory from each of the MLB parks. I do, I've been to all 30 cities to watch a game- need 5 new parks to get to. I do have a couple of odd parks that I was able to attend- Dunedin when the Jays couldn't go back to Canada in 2021 and Las Vegas in the 1996 when the A's were renovating their stadium. The fun part is many family memories as most were part of vacations. Hope to see you at The National.
What a great milestone anniversary gift, and also great to complete the stadia milestone! Looks like you both had a great time. Thnks for sharing your journeys with us. 👍
Hi Mike, getting to all of the MLB parks is a goal of mine too. I have been 19 of the current parks. I have been to a total of 28 different MLB parks in 25 cities. Very cool that you were able to complete that. Thanks for sharing the video.
Happy Anniversary Mike! My 25th is next month! I think PSA can decertify known stolen certs. I love the idea of seeing every stadium. I’ve only gone to 9, so have a ways to go! Do you have to see a game for it to count?!?! Are you going to the All Star game?
A couple of friends and I went to the Braves game Thursday against the Giants and Friday and Saturday against the Phillies. On Thursday before the game we went to Cards HQ but we also did not find anything we had to have. One of my friends had never been to the Coke museum so we went there also. We went to the College Football Hall of Fame there close to the Coke museum and it was pretty cool if you like college football you should go sometime.
That theft was probably calculated months and constant surveillance of Ash's table at many shows. And they probably had a buyer waiting. Trust me that was not a random theft
My problem with card shops is if you don’t buy packs/boxes it is tough. My card shop rarely gets new singles that I am interested in. I have seen everything they have multiple times. And nothing is priced at the shops. So if I make a pile that I found in the singles boxes then they just add it up as if they priced it and put it out. It’s like I work for them. And I am on west coast and not near card shows. So I just do eBay.
Hi Mike. They will crack open all theses slabs,, and resubmit the cards for regrading or Sell them raw,, 3 guys was involved maybe a forth person,, the sports card is a mult million dollar Hobby Business,,,
As a collector the theft is a reminder we should look up certs before buying. I am in the market for an Aaron rookie and would hate to buy one that was stolen. It only takes a second to scan it with the app or look it up before bidding. Hope the cards are recovered in time for The National so the dealer doesn’t take a big hit.
I pet some rays when I was in Austin a few weeks ago, I likened it to touching smiley velvet. Of all the parks you visited how does my home park, T-Mobile rank?
I'm sick as can be about the Ashsh ordeal as well. Takes the wind out of your sails a little. So much so, I'm cancelling my trip to Dallas in Sept. I purchased a few major cards from him the past couple years. I'll save it for Anaheim and hope he makes it there to support him. I'm underwhelmed by everything Goff Wilson says or does. They have a no haggle policy, kinda like you do.🤣😂 Glad you walked out with nada. Enjoy the national my handsome friend.
Geoff said when he opened the shop they don’t negotiate at all on cards Card shops are overrated when you have card shows . The chances of finding anything and it being decently priced just isn’t great
The world of coke is awesome. You might have had time, but the aquarium that is right across the plaza from the coke museum is amazing. Best one I've been to!
@@BaseballCollector Next time anyway. What made me think of is was Julie's interest in touching the sting-rays. When I went in '08 (it could be very different now) the Atlanta AQ had a tank that allowed you to touch hammerhead sharks. Super cool. Thought she'd enjoy that.
Congrats! I saw Truist and Tropicana and Miami this spring. Five more to go for me-both NYs, Boston, Toronto and Detroit. I’ll do those next year in conjunction with Ichiro’s HOF induction. Why are there so many sleezebags? They need to catch those guys and put them away for a long time.
I used to live down the road from Wonder Sports Cards. I would mostly get supplies there because they don’t have a lot of Cardinals cards. I had a blast at the Trop when I went. It’s a fun ballpark.
My guess is the thieves crack the slabs and submit raw.... unless they're really that stupid and try and sell in current slabs. So upset for Ash, who I agree is a good guy I've dealt with. Appreciate the vid and nice trip you had. Happy 25th!
Check out Junk Wax Hero from yesterday...Mike did a video at PB Cards....fantastic shop!!! Interesting observations on Jeff Wilson's shop. He's got too much modern focus which would hurt if the hobby goes into a slump. Plus the margins aren't there.
What do you think about the Dallas Card Show and the recent theft? There's a lot of negative talk about it. It seems like it's starting to get a bad reputation in the hobby.
Did you not watch this video? I talked about what I thought. Why is it the show's fault that there was a theft? They have tons of video of it. Better than most shows.
@@BaseballCollector There seems to be an incident at every other show. It's like the wild west down there. Thank God no one got hurt. I sure wouldn't bring my child along with me to this event.
@@TimDavis-td2go Sorry Tim. My day doesn’t revolve around responding to comments. I think you are making a little more of it. Thefts happen at almost every major card show. It is unfortunate but it would be silly to blame the show. What are they supposed to do?
This show(that you speak highly of) has issues. The promoter is lucky this crew didn't bring weapons. Unfortunately, there have been crimes where innocent people were killed for a lot less. You don't think that it is his responsibility of the promoter to ensure the safety to the attendants. This is not the first time issues have happened at this show.

I'm with you that card shows are a waste of time for me to find cards. It's also how I feel about card shows, including the National.
Congrats on your anniversary and the completion of stadiums! So cool!

Mike agreed my pal went to that shop ,,he left confused really confused
Congrats and Happy 25th!!!!

Congrats! I’ve been to about 12 stadiums, it’s on my bucket list to finish. I’ve been to Tropicana and Fulton County Stadium but not Truist.
So cool!
What an accomplishment! You definitely married correctly! I have 5 ballparks left, and they’re doozies 😂

These cards have likely been cracked out of their holders already.
Yeap
Exactly - they're not dumb enough to try and sell them with PSA cert numbers.
Congrats on that goal achieved. All the ballparks visited is pretty amazing 👏
Thanks Scott
Modern card shops should at least have vintage “sections” the way records stores do.
I totally agree!!
Congrats! That's a great accomplishment. I've seen around 35, but don't have all the modern ones. Well done!
That's awesome.
Congrats on 25 years and completing your stadium tour Mike. I am equally pissed off about what happened to Ash, but I agree they will be caught soon.
That’s why they call it Hotlanta
Congrats on hitting those last ballparks! I made it to The Ted years ago; maybe I'll get to the current one someday.
You should John. It's a cool setup.
