We head to Philadelphia for the Craft Beer Convention to find that Philly is one of the best beer-drinking towns in the world. There are so many bars we only scratched the surface, and renamed it Sillydelphia.

Great to see you guys in my home city! Was hoping to see monks and tired hands.

When you go back, check out Crime and Punishment Brewing Company. It's in a neighborhood called Brewerytown, which is cool. I stopped in there last year when I was visiting Philly and want to return so badly. Their beer is top notch, in my book. My favorites were Space Race, Sudden Zest and Minimal Existence. Hope to see an update video one day!

Tired Hands Alien Church is my favorite beer. I was lucky enough to have a buddy rent an apartment a block down the street from them. It was a great excuse to stop in for a 4pk or a pint
if you're ever back in philly, come to south philly and go to cartesian brewery. truly some of my favorite beer ive ever had. super creative and done right
Monks is the best pub in Philly. Fergie is the man!

Ahhhhh Tired hands. I never wanted to leave. A lifetime supply of their tacos and Hophands would be all I need to live.

They really are - and on the route we stopped off somewhere else equally special. Video in two weeks' time!
If you didn't catch it the bar he's in about 3/4 of the way through is Garage, not Ray's happy Birthday bar. Ray's is like 30 yards away down the street.
Sidenote, Garage is great but also a prime hangout for the Pagans, a pretty hardcore local motorcycle gang

Trillium in Fort Point or Trillium in Canton? Trillium in Canton is great, but the one in Boston is near lots of other cool places to go to. If in Boston, Lord Hobo, Publick House, Stoddards Fine Food and Ale, Deep Ellum, and Sunset Grill & Tap
We went to Fort Point - but also to most of those places too!

We've thought about it a lot! We're currently looking at ways to monetise - commercial partnerships need to be done really carefully, and with Patreon we worry we don't deserve people's hard earned cash! We'll make up our minds soon.

fuck yeah half acre is in philly. the one thing that concerns me with bars having that many bottle/can options: what's the turn around on all of that beer? surely some of that stuff has been sitting idle while others cycle regularly. anything over a few dozen worries me a bit.
and was the beer garden by the art institute up?! i've been to philly once a couple of years ago and saw all the sights, but some beer garden thing was in the process of being set up so I missed that. looked like a cool thing.
one last question: what's the easiest way to keep abreast of your guys' travels? if you're ever in chicago i'd love to buy you guys lunch and beer lol.
We've always thought that about big selections in bars and bottleshops (especially if not in a fridge!) but hopefully it's being well managed by the bar owner. It's down to trust and the consumer checking the dates before buying!

do you guys have any recommendations for online stores to buy some good craft beers? with work picking up i have less and less time to go out and hunt - especially great if they ship to canada
+Mohamed Hammad worldwide delivery is tricky! the best one I think is ales by mail but their range is relatively small. Jonny works for beer merchants who have an amazing range but on ship to Europe!
