Marvelous build, Timothy. Wonderful design thought went into this one. Great details! Lots of eye candy and interesting to watch running. That's a great idea to use a hollow core door so that you can carve out some elevations. That's the first time I've heard of that being done, and it makes perfect sense. Why not! It's not like that door will ever be used again as a door! LOL
I used tables with a styrene insulation, 2 layers of 3 inch thick for total of 6 inches below and added more hills, tunnels etc up top. You have done a great job with your👍👍👍😎 Great detail, scenery and weathering 👍👍
Wow, I really love your layout! Wonderful scenery work - great job!👍🏼 I would love to see your track plan for the original section built on the door. Thank you for sharing this!
If you go to my channel find the video called The Beginning it shows just the track before and after plaster landscaping. Never had a track plan. Thanks for watching. Tim
You keep using the words; “decent” or “looks pretty good”, thought it looked great. Great and straight forward to the point thoughts. I’m just thinking about doing a model train setup for the first time and you’ve given more ideas here than I’ve seen anywhere.
Tim, I like your layout. You've done some really nice work in the amount of space you have. The narration is wonderful. Please continue to do it. That way, viewers can know what they're looking at and what you're trying to accomplish. Well done! ...Roy
This is a great layout. I can't believe this was your first narration. I don't think I could do as well! Great Job! This gives me inspiration to do my n scale layout for the first time since I was a kid with my 4x8 Lionel set. I think this hollow door would be great for the space i have to work with. Thanks again!
I would suggest joining a couple of on line groups there are a great bunch of individuals with great tips and answers to questions that really helped me along. Thanks for subbing and your kind comments.Tim
After the prior vid, like others, I subbed. Terrific water effects. Quite a bit of detail on your layout too. Wonderful layout. Thank you for posting. I also have a Kato unitrack layout but am in the pink foam stage. Lol.
I have an older video on my channel called the beginning which shows the layout from a bare door All the way to starting scenery stage if you're interested.
Tim, I agree with all thise already praising your layout. You got a lot of interesting well done scenes amidst the dense trackwork, something every where I look. I have to ask because I have not been able to grasp the whole, is it really all on a 30x80 door? Again, very nice. Tom
Tim.. really nice layout with plenty of action. Great commentary explaining the plan. I know that sometimes things appear different in person than on film.. the only thing I saw in the layout that seemed a bit out of character is the road that climbs the grade.. that appears to be very steep. As Steve Brown says..it's my railroad.. that said, my two cents is to consider creating a tunnel for the car traffic to drive through instead of climbing that hill and then off the layout edge.
This particular shot of the incline at the crossing does appear very steep but at another angle it is really not out of proportion for the scene. Thanks for watching stay safe and happy railroading. Tim
Thanks for your nice comments and I wish you best of luck with your project. Most everything I have learned is from the many talented modelers on you tube and other resources. Its an awesome hobby and wonderful community of hobbyists. Welcome aboard. Tim
I really do not have a track plan so to speak. I just started laying down track and changing it until I found something that worked for me. I made a few changes along the way but found that the kato track had enough options available to do what I wanted. Good luck with your project and above all have fun with it. If you look on my channel I have a slide show entitled THE BEGINNING it is the closest thing to a plan that I have. Sorry. Tim
Fantastic Tim. The deer chasing the hunter, classic. Landscaping was chef's kiss!
Thanks for watching and your kind comments.
Well Tim I like your setup. Very nice, thanks for sharing your video.
I love your scenery and backgrounds, so well done. The effect you used for the mist from the waterfall is absolutely amazing.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it.
really nice, I like the inclusion of the unfinished areas
You have some of the best water effects of any layout I've seen on here. They look realistic.
Wow! That's gorgeous!
Love the scenery.
Absolutely amazing I've enjoyed every bit of watching this
Just fantastic!!!! Great job, love the multi level running.
Thanks for watching and your kind words.

It has a 30×54 extension that was added for industrial trackage. Thanks so much for kind comment.
Nice layout Plan. Looks interesting
Thanks for the tour.
Your welcome. Tim
⭐ Have a great new year!! 🚂👌🎉
Thanks you too. Happy railroading🚂
Nice layout in a compact space.
Good job man i have used two doors on a previous layout, they work great

Yes the tunnel is a good idea. Thanks for watching and your kind comments and constructive criticism. Happy railroading. Tim

This is fabulous! I am just getting started with layout ideas. Would you share your track plan?
I didn't really have a track plan, I just played around with my unitrack until I found a track I liked. Thanks for watching. Tim
+Timothy Stadel Wow this is an awesome layout.
Thanks for watching and you kind comments. Tim
I like the yours.
Well Done AAA++++

Well done Tim nice layout! Where did u find the MOW white truck at 2:55?
Believe it or not but it is a well painted casting that I got on line for about 10 bucks. Thanks for watching and the nice comments.
Nice layout. What radius do you use for your curves?
I use a combination of radii from 9.75 to 15 inches. Thanks for you interest and nice comments.
Track plan?
Hi. I'm from chile. I am designing an N scale circuit and I would like to know the track layout of your model, if possible, thank you very much.
I really do not have a track plan so to speak. I just started laying down track and changing it until I found something that worked for me. I made a few changes along the way but found that the kato track had enough options available to do what I wanted. Good luck with your project and above all have fun with it. @@timothystadel6484 thank you very much, regards from Chile.
I wish you would have stepped back and showed the whole layout instead of just panning back and forth. Doesn't give any real scale to the layout.
I have many videos on my channel if you look them up you can see every aspect of the layout.
Sorry...the roads are too black..too present....grey would be much better.
All freshly repaved, they will fade over time.lol
That waterfall looks phenomenal man, great layout.
