how are they not reviewing that red wtf
VAR cannot do that I believe.
and i believe the mls dont even understand how VAR works, although its "invented" in us sports. its fun to watch how good it works in europe, and how not in the mls. Red cards should always be double checked.
He hit Acosta in the face. Even if they reviewed it'd be a red.
Not a fan for any of the both teams but that’s not a red card
The ref based it off intent. Any time a player cocks his arm and throws it, however soft, he’s gonna get called.
@@TomF18using your logic let’s say intend to get the ball and I absolutely lay someone out it’s okay?
@@eliknopp4054 If you actually have a chance at the ball, make a play for the ball, and don’t slow down to swing at the player, then yes.
If you hear the announcers during the cards on the broadcast be surprised. There were soft ones both ways
Watch the replay he slowed down and looked at him before hitting him. That was clear intent. An easy red anywhere in the world.
Thumbnail spoiling who won needs to ens.
That first goal was kinda fun to watch.
SOFEST RED CARD EVER
Very soft as far as red’s go, I agree, but the intent was there. The NY player cocked his arm and threw it intentionally, and that’s what decided it for the ref.
Classic mls refs
Nonsense red card, should be yellow for lucha for simulation. This league needs video review. I'm neutral fan btw
@@scottt468 Yes, Acosta sold it. He didn’t even get hit in the face. But again, the NY player stopped trying to play the ball, even slowed his stride, and intentionally swung his arm. That’s a card all day, whether he hurts anyone or not.
@@TomF18 Agree with you. Yellow card for sure. Red is a maybe.
that's not a red
A strike to the face usually is.
@@kendallsmith1458 Acosta's own hand hit him in the face
Why red card ?
@@Zombie-qw3obNot true, I have it paused and the NYC player hit him in the face.
@@gahtoe the NYC player hit Acosta's arm which then goes into Acosta's face. At most thats a yellow
Even though the ref was bad cinci was the better team so Ggs
Boiko is one of the worst, imo
Edit: I have no stake in this game
1:52 Every highlight is on point! This channel knows how to keep fans engaged! 🎯⚽
6:28 Why that was a red card, it seems so soft tbh even tho I was LA FC fan 😅
He sized him up and had a forceful blow above the shoulders which is a textbook red. The 4th official is the one that makes the judgement as it was done right in front of him
Was here. My home city, awesome goal from fcc. great win.
were they using VAR in this match?
As an FC Cincy fan, that was the most candy Red Card I've ever seen. Especially that late in the game when everything is said and done. Horrible call by the refs.
Yamil Asad straight in the face = Goal
Jogo equilibrado
Did they find the refs from the old wrestling circuit?
Ojalá 2 los queden descalificandos
4:43 no way the commentator just said "that was sumptuous *football*".
He just had to admit... 😂
That red card was corny. Pretended to get hit in the face, obviously. Weak ref ball sucks
Considering I rewatched it and have it paused right now and he hit him straight in the face. The man turns, looks at him, intentionally hits him, and hits him in the face. Even if reviewed that's a red.
I personally wouldn’t take a pointless self-serving violent conduct in garbage time after the play had been whistled dead, but maybe I’m just built different.
Even taking a yellow there is undisciplined and stupid for a defender at any point of a game- you’re wasting your ability to take a tactical foul just to chin shine a guy
Dude is 5'3 grey's taller tgan that of course. He's going to get hit in the face. Maxi needs to start next game
But, he didn't hit him in the face at all; it was basically shoulder to shoulder. Acosta embellished it big time and even the linesman who was right there was fooled. That wasn't even worthy of a yellow card. Watch it repeatedly and you will see what I'm talking about. How in the world VAR wasn't involved is beyond me.
The assist and the dive. The reasons I love and hate Lucho. Dude is an absolute menace
How was that foul in the box on Martínez not a penalty? Absolutely disgraceful call. Classic Boikko refereeing.
Martinez was offside. We stood around for like 5 minutes waiting for VAR then Sergei put up the offside sign
Bet that VAR was ready to send it to the monitor then they checked the APP.
Makes up for the clear and obvious handball that was in the box. We should’ve had a penalty there.
@@ArgonWolf1 So basically they cancel out a possible penalty and say that it’s offside.. From what I recall there wasn’t even proof that he was offside, not even any footage.
@@Jericho4lyfe are you an idiot? that was literally the most natural position his arm could've been, without his arm being there he wouldve just fell hard on his back 😭
@@winsows11 Yeah... thats kinda how soccer works. You dont get a pen on a non-violent foul during the run of play if the play shouldnt have happened in the first place
100% Red - literally slows up to make no attempt on the ball and throws a punch to the head and neck area, ZERO ATTEMPT FOR THE BALL.
You watching the right highlight video?
How was there no video of the called offside that negated the penalty against Cincinnati? No video shown last night and none in the highlights. If he was offsides so be it but at least let people see.
I disagree with the comments here, it was definitely a red, you can see the look of frustration and anger on the defender's face as he hits the guy, it was on purpose and an act of violence
If that was the case there'd be like 9 red cards per game
@@one_mega_ohm9139 No, most yellows are defenders tripping up an attacker that gets past them, which isn't trying to hurt them, just slowing them down. This was different because it looked like he was trying to punch the guy
Finally, FCC played like they wanted to win. Where did they go the previous four games? Is it enough to get passed Inter Miami? Probably not. We can at least advance into the next round if the keep up this level of play. IF...
Very sloppy game. Neither team will go deep into playoffs.
The problem with the play that got the red was the clear intent behind the player. He stopped going for the ball. Looked directly at the player. Cocked his elbow. And took an elbow swing directly into him. He didn't hit him in the face but easily could have. Player was clearly frustrated they were about to lose. These are supposed to be professionals. Conduct yourself as such.
Edit: if you watch is super slow mo, it does look like he extends his fist out and gets him in the face. Are we talking knock out blow? No of course not. But you have to know better
lmao it was not a red no matter how much you try to convince yourself
"Strike or ATTEMPT to strike an opponent"
@@TheSteeyo No it was a red. Did you watch the game? He got a red. You're just in denial at this point.
Hope we can perform well and make it to the cup this year would love to beat Columbus to get there but as an Ohioan proud of the soccer my state is producing the east is our states (if Messi wasn’t with Miami)
2:36 enttammo💙🔥🔥🔥🌿🌿
3 fairly weak red cards given in the first round of the playoffs. No wonder people think MLS is a joke
That should be a yellow for foul simulation on acosta
Let’s go one better this year and ruin miamis season and messi’s
Ruin it like Beckham's season when he played
Where's var on that "red"?
don’t like any of these guys as a rbny fan that’s really questionable. but that’s not a excuse for how horrible nycfc played tonight
When a player clutches his face like that, he's acting. A player touches his facial hair, and he goes down like a sack of hammers. Why a ref can't seem to catch on to that is beyond me.
More spoiler thumbnails 😢 Fewer will watch, MLS
Acosta lost my respect on that one
a red card in a Boiko game? 😯
Bengals are not performing. Are there hopes in the soccer club?
💯
That was some very poor officiating... but at least it was equally awful to both teams.
Bad video high light is not clear for penalty review??? Very worse ref!!!
Both teams could have done better very sloppy football especially NYC
Ref is a joke, how is that a red
Dude intentionally hit him and hit him in the face. Easy red.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
06:26 "it's just excellent work from Acosta"...😂 she must be an acting aficionado
He actually gets hit in the face. Idk what you are watching.
@@gahtoe 😂 optometrist visit?
Pure awful
inter miami messi all day suarez
Give ya mom ya phone back 😂😂
Orellano, pronounced (orehyano). They pronounce it (Orechano). like Argentinians. It's hilarious.
Maybe because he is an Argentinian
that was red? man this MLS ref trash..
That should be a red for the Cincinnati guy for faking !
He got hit in the face. Slow it down and watch it.
@@gahtoeI watched it 20 times and he faked it ! Maybe he is Argentinian !
@ I just looked it up and he is Argentinian. That’s the land of the biggest fakers !
