- Glastonbury, Somerset | Guided Tour of the Town and Festival & the history of Glastonbury.
A long spiritual history including King Arthur and the Holy Grail, and the site of the Glastonbury Music festival - this town is completely unique in the UK. Join us for a guided walking tour of Glastonbury's weird and wonderful History and culture.
Glastonbury Somerset in 4K.
It's full of New Age shops and historic sites like Glastonbury Tor linked with the legends of Avalon, Glastonbury Abbey - the supposed burial site of King Arthur and the Chalice Well with its links to the Holy Grail.

Thank you As a shop owner in Glastonbury (Dicketts Art Supplies) it's great to see even in a short time of perhaps 3 years the changes that are ever occurring.
Really appreciate the constant documentation of our history. All the best for the future Steve
Well good morning to you Steve. What a pleasure to hear from a shop owner in Glastonbury and to hear that in the last 3 years good changes that are occurring.
All the best to you and your shop too. We'll have to pop by and say hello if we visit again.
Loved the walk through with the guide, I've not been for many a moon and it reminded me of just how completely different Glastonbury is to most every other UK town, apart from perhaps Totnes. Loved the guy in the pith helmet at 11! Thanks as always.
Ah yes the lovely Totnes! We do have a walk through there incidentally. We certainly need more of an independent spirit in our UK towns for sure.
❤ thank you, been 5 years since been to Glastonbury, after 2019 then came lockdown, great walk,😅😊😂
Home of the Glastonbury Music Festival - Glastonbury Somerset is a truly unique setting, with its rich history linked to King Arthur and Joseph of Arimathea.
What a great little walk through and guide around as you say what is a wonderfully eccentric town.
Glastonbury is at Pilton ten miles away.
Thanks for posting this fabulous guided tour, it's been years since I've been to Glastonbury and now have the urge to return 🙂.
Happy to bring a little of it to you. I hope that visit happens for you indeed! Thanks for dropping by and for staying in touch.
welcome, come on a fine day. Beltane is great for processions and assembly rooms.
Very nice video about a historical place with beautiful views and colourful streets, it was a pleasure to watch! ❤
Thanks friend, we too enjoyed your recent Volos sunset walk, thanks for introducing the town to us. All the best to you.
@@LivingWalks you're very welcome and I thank you too for your kind words and support! 😊
Just in time for the festival! 👍

Love you Glastonbury
Happy to bring a little of it to you John, all the best to you.
Didn’t show the Abbey 😢
Ah, we hope to do a dedicated guide through here on our next visit.
Great tour of a place I’ve never visited (no excuse as it’s so close 😢) but until I do thanks for the info and walk 👌🏻
Best wishes Simon 🤠👍
Hi there Simon, thanks for dropping by. Pleased you enjoyed it. Hope you do get that visit someday, especially as you're not far away. It's always entertaining!! All the best to you.
Thanks Yvonne, Mike & unknown person! Who's the new member of the team?! 🤔
I thoroughly enjoyed that with all those facts & figures as the only thing I knew about Glastonbury was its festival as it wouldn't be something I'd be interested in, but your video definitely piqued my interest in the town.
Enjoy the rest of June my friends 🤗
Hello there our good friend Rue, so sorry for the delayed response, really pleased it piqued your interest of Glastonbury. it's really got to be the most unique place we've ever been to, and we've been to some pretty odd places! Hope you get to visit someday. We'd love to hear your narration on it for sure. All the best to you mate.
@@LivingWalks Thanks Yvonne & Mike 😊
I thought for a moment you'd fallen out with me lol! 😋
Ah dear Rue, how could we do that!
@@LivingWalks Phew! 🤣
@@RuePhoto 👍
Thank you
You're most welcome :)
Super
Thanks for dropping by John.
I enjoyed your video of Glastonbury, but you didn't show us inside the sharps. An, I didn't see any hippies.😢 My friend told me to go there. But I want to see inside hippy sharps.
Please make that video🎉
When was this filmed.....its not recently 🤷♂️
Hi there PrinceFluffy, love your name btw. It was filmed a while ago but we had requests to narrate it rather than subtitle it. Well spotted!
i wanted to go there but i was waiting for summer here. problem is i didn't have enough time to book something off. now it's the end of summer :( wanted to go before the festival. although I'm a Londoner I think I could live here. Seems lively enough and full of things I like - witchy shops and bookshops. 10 degrees? oh no can do.
Hi there @bluebellbeatnik4945, ha ha, I know what you mean about waiting for the summer to arrive! waiting for summer here. As you say it's a lively place, especially if you like as you say witchy shops and bookshops! Thanks for staying in touch.
My sisters and friends did vegan food for the festival for a couple of years. It became too expensive so they had to stop. Now they run a healing centre.
I hope that's going well for them @clarissagafoor5222, it's certainly a unique town.
They need to open the train line
Oh yes, I’m sure you’re not alone in that sentiment for sure. All the best to you.
Walking round the town, talking about the festival. The two are not connected.
well we thought the town and festival might be of equal interest to visitors.
Actually if you were a native here you would see they are intertwined. Many of our talented residents residents run stalls there. Many residents are lucky enough to get free tickets for camping and helping. It always creates interest for us.
Quite so @@naemasufi it's lovely to hear that the locals enjoy and benefit from the festival too. Thanks for dropping by. Hope we've done your lovely town justice.
@@LivingWalks really well done
Too much drivel about the music festival and not enough about Glastonbury itself... such as of course the Tor, Chalice Well or indeed the Abbey. Filming was good but narration could have been better.
Thanks for your thoughts Gary, this was put up close to the festival, to give festival goers an overview of the town. We do plan to return for a more in depth walk and talk and will plan to cover the abbey and the tor in that. All the best to you.
Castle Careeeee its pronounced lmao
Thank you kevsid!
Big drug town. Heavy on the Lesbians too.
Oh righto @silversteel6312!
find me somewhere that isn't. At least here they get help
