Sound designer here... Omnisphere can be overwhelming at first I personally look at it more as an analog synth first with an added sample library. Creating from scratch is what makes it fun for me and I use the sample library as a compliment to what Im creating
I stopped using Omnisphere for a few years and recently started back using it, once I upgraded my computer to 32g of ram and I could fly thru sounds…..I realized how dope it still is.
love omnisphere because it fits with my dark style of beats, not saying that it doesn’t work for any other genre, but Spectrasonics def have alot of stuff to play around, been using them forever and 1000% recommend 🙏💯❤️🔥🔥

General MIDI is not a collection of sounds. General MIDI is what you see: a list of 127 sounds described by what they should sound like, such as 'Acoustic Piano', 'Mute Guitar' or 'Warm Pad'. A General MIDI complient device - of software device in this case has 127 sounds that are their inpretations of those descriptions. As such there is no singular sound of General MIDI. Just like MIDI it isn't audio.
If omnisphere was that important to you though you would fix that and put it on your main drive somehow that just makes me feel like you really don't use it for real brosky I'm just keeping it real because there's no way in the world that you would work like that in a daily basis
