One thing I love about the alien franchise is they don't need to use jump scares or at least alot but when I saw the offspring that felt like one I literally outloud said "aye wtf is that they really went there" which it's alien of course they did lol.
The alien offspring isn’t CGI btw, the actor who played him is Robert Bobroczkyi, a 7’7 former basketball player from Romania. He also played on the same high school team as Lamelo Ball, but I don’t think there’s a picture of them together.
idc what anybody says ANDY ate up every single scene he was in I absolutely loved him and rains relationship. A few fun facts: 1. the offspring is not cgi that is a basketball player I forget his name but he's like 7"7 so that's all him with really great makeup 2.this is set between the first and second movie so the alien Ripley blew out the airlock is the alien you see on the Romulus ship 3. This movie and set is heavily inspired by the game Alien: Isolation the director played before doing the movie and he NAILED it you even see some save stations. 4. Its confirmed the "a-hole" Kay was pregnant by is in fact Bjorn their freaking cousin like is the shortage of guys tbat deep 😂 5. Not a fact but i love how much they used the face huggers this time around they are truly terrifying im so happy we got to see them alot more.
I was so glad the Facehuggers got the screen time they did. They get forgotten once the xeno come in. This movie reminds people that the larva stage xeno is just as terrifying and more dangerous, depending on the situation.
this isn't the ship from the first movie. this space station is where they brought the alien from the first movie. it made itself a cocoon to survive being in space and they found it floating among the wreckage of the ship. it's the alien that is hanging in the room where the asian girl got the chest hugger to the face was the one from the original movie. you can see the spear in it's chest.
Kay truly had the worst fate in the entire franchise. The girl was already in a stressful situation, then she gave birth to a freakish alien baby and then later died via getting her alien milk drained from the offspring.

AGREED. I saw it in a packed cinema of 6 people,but,they gave off the VIBE of thousands tho. LOL. Yeah,I went to an early viewing at 1:00 pm,hence the empty theater.
Not sure if it was intentional by the production studio, but Romulus really has more of the vibe, visuals & atmosphere of the game 'Alien Isolation', being trapped on a ship with many shadowy claustrophobic rooms, corridors & hallways, with your survival as a huge part of the story, of which survival is what all of the Alien franchise is about. The story may be different, but it shares the ship scenario, as if Romulus was almost some sort of prequel to Isolation. It really is partly a homage to that successful computer game. The fact that Romulus comes exactly on the tenth anniversary of the game makes me think the studio did copy the game on purpose for this movie. 12/04/24

Some people may say the hallways might look like the ones from the first Alien movie (Nostromo), but in that 1979 classic, we did not see huge rooms & very little hallways. Did anyone in Romulus hide under beds & desks & get away with it like in the game? Hehe. I may see Romulus if & when it gets to DVD/BD as I do not stream movies. 12/04/24

I really hope that RTTV one day watch some of Studio Ghibli movies, since Hayao Miyazaki's latest movie is probably his last (The Boy And The Heron).

Prometheus 2012 is part of the Alien universe. There’s also Alien: Covenant 2017 and Alien vs. Predator 2004.
