If anything about Quantic Dreams previous works including Heavy Rain, Beyond 2 souls, and Indigo Prophecy, the story is gonna be an emotional roller coaster. In comparison to their previous works without a spoiler, there has been improvements on more character development on the lead cast, more options, improved quick time events, and of course with more choices, regardless of how small that choice might be, some of those choices can effect the story later on for better or worse. As to your observation on how can someone like to household of the guy could afford an android, back in the store, some of the prices mentioned for an individual android starting at $1599 or the mid range androids around $8700. There is also the possibility since the story takes place in the US, there is the possibility that androids can be provided with Welfare as many other things with Welfare in the US.
As for some hints:
- To help point out those options that the player can do is to hold down the scan button which is the R2 button.
- Always search the levels on the chapter when time permitting
- Some of the objectives of the levels will not be available unless discovered or made available due to a decision made in previous sections of the game.
- Some choices can possibly affect other character stories.
Either way, your in for a roller coaster of a story and I hope you enjoy it.

Ready as we'll ever be. By the way, you should check out Bryan Dechart's twitch, he's the actor that did the mo-cap and voice acting for Connor, and he's a really nice guy, if you want to reach out to him, he'll respond and it's really to see him play as himself and other characters!
Pay attention to what your character does as you're moving around. Kara kept looking at the laundry bin when you were outside, to show the player that it's something you can examine.
If they can eat human food then they are humans, not robots.

Oh it's here!! Literally woke up to this. I just wanted to say that am at a part of my life where I don't have access to all these cool games, as much as I wanna play em. So this is the only way I can experience it. I am just grateful for all the work and effort you put in your vids just so we all can experience it together. Keep doing what you do! :)

Don't forget you can just hold down R2 and move the camera around when you're not sure what to do. Anything you can interact with has an orange marker. The laundry basket in the garden for example is highlighted when you hold R2. =)
This has to be one of my favorite playthroughs of this game, it's obvious she pays attention to the game and doesn't miss as many clues as I've seen with other UA-camrs. Great job!

Just finished Detroit. If you liked Heavy Rain you will LOVE this. Can't recommend it enough.
Super excited for you doing this game, it's an awesome game/movie and has quite a bit of replay value due to Quantic having gone for waaaay more variable's per scene than in previous installments of their games. Enjoy the ride!

Doing essential (in this chapter, "orgent") tasks might disable the optional tasks, so you should do the optional tasks first if you want to do all of them.
Edit: Sometimes the objectives aren't sorted under the clear titles of "Essential" and "Optional", but it seems to me (and I might be wrong) that the essential ones are always placed under the left column, while the optional ones are placed under the right column. But sometimes there's only one column.

You're in for a very emotional and well crafted journey. And I don't just mean tear jerky moments. I mean feeling genuine attachment to these characters and a real fear for their safety. That is to say, you should feel these things, unless of course you are a robot...

On Todd: If you noticed the prices in the store, practically everybody can afford an android. And some models are more expensive than others so even the poor have access to some of them. Todd lost his job because of androids but he apparently was making money on the side dealing drugs.
hey marz, the R2 focus is really useful to find stuff, just rotate the camera while holding it and take your time with it, and if you find those books to read take your time to read them because there are some really interesting topics in them and they are a big part of the "mindfuck" of the story telling you how broken the world has become

The “blur” you’re noticing is an extreme amount of “depth of field” they implemented...it makes some scenes look really strange:/

Pressing R2 will turn on the GPS (if you need to go somewhere), and will mark intractable stuff with a yellow marker. HOWEVER, some intractable stuff will never be marked with a yellow marker, so exploring by foot is still recommended.
Edit: The way I understand it, the intractables marked with a yellow marker are stuff in clear sight, while the unmarked are hidden things out of sight.
Forgot this game was getting released. But soon as I saw this vid pop up in my suggestion list, I went out and bought it. Loved the demo and can’t wait to see the differences we all get. Excited for this.

Im only watching this now, and you may already know this, but kara is an AX400 model. In the lore of the game, she's more or less obsolete compared to newer models, so they sell them as bargains. Kara cost $799

I live the detail they went into with the city. At the time they were researching, Tod’s house would have been among several in that area. However they’ve since all been demolished in the real Detroit. You can check out almost every location on Google Maps.

Androids are the iPhones of the future. Everyone has one. Plus, they aren't all super expensive. Later in the game you can find an ad for Kara's model and she's only $799. Get a 12 or 24 month payment plan and that's easy.
this is such a great game, i just finished it yesterday. But i'm going to watch you play it because there is no way that you will get the same ending or even the same story that i got. so i'm going to watch to see what happens.
just a word of caution, you absolutely can get everyone killed, and it's really easy to do. so choose wisely. I would say take your time with every decision, but you really don't have the time to do that. Good luck

I have played thru this game. I ended up with the most horrible ending possible. But I have been waiting to watch you play this game. It is truly a gem of a game ...
There's definitely a sweet spot when it comes to motion blur, w/o any of it things will move in an unsettling and unrealistic manner. Especially sudden movements or something zooming by
