Medium rare is just better cause you get juicy and flavorful meat as opposed to well done which can commonly taste dry and lack flavor.

watching twitch and other NA content creators made me super curious about how Tomatoes taste over there, how is it that most of them hate tomatoes with such a passion when most people outside NA agree that they are delicious.
a lot of people get exposed to beefsteak tomatoes first and those are probably the least flavorful type
personally I love tomatoes and im NA but im also not white and didn't grow up eating predominantly american food so I don't know how that might affect your view
majority of tomatoes sold in the US at supermarkets/grocery stores are underripe, watery, and the only flavor you get is the earthy dirtness, I take them off every sandwich since they are pretty much worthless, proper, well grown and ripe tomatoes would not really be possible to ship, so you can only get them locally. if you are having tomato sauce there is a good chance it's canned tomatoes unless you are in a tomato region during the summer. and when making at home I only use canned, as they are picked at their prime.

It's because the US farmers bred tomatoes for shape, colour, and size (round, bright and pure crimson, large). It turns out they bred out the yummy flavour of tomatoes in doing that, yielding the watery diluted tomatoes commonly used now.
Other varieties exist that still retain that delicious savoury umami tomato taste.
