7 billion reasons why it wasn’t a mistake. Let’s be honest, all F1 teams prioritize money and image. Ferrari’s stock surged over 10%, adding nearly $7 billion (£5.48 billion) on the NYSE before Hamilton even wore the Ferrari overalls. Whether he wins a championship or not, this deal is already a massive success for the Scuderia. And you can bet they’ll milk even more out of it
Maybe it's Lewis, Maybe it's just the quarterly earnings reports being beat again and the prognosis adjusted upwards... I think the latter to be the main drive.
Nice to see you a bit more relaxed. You KNOW a lot of fans get too into the cult of it to be balanced, so it's you that has to understand the bias. Even Checo must know that he shouldn't 've been there that long. It must've been so embarrassing for him but his dad kept at him, probably just for the money. Everyone's worried about Ford and RB; doesn't feel right and Toto will keep winking at Max😂Lewis has probably already got a pad in Milan, the centre of fashion; he's an icon in Milan for fashion and F1. Win or not Scuderia Ferrari have already got a result. I love Carlos but that horror shot of him in the white was so funny😂I do hope he gets to go somewhere else.
Of course Max is nervous for the RB Ford powertrain, because it's new. Not being nervous about it is being naive. But they've employed some great experienced people from other engine builders. I don't think any judgement before we see them on track is fair. Who knows, maybe they are able to pull it off successfully.
Checo was never going to be a WDC, I think we all knew this when he joined redbull. Was he a consistent driver that got the best out of mediocre cars yes and for him to achieve what he has at redbull is remarkable. He’ll be back soon he’s not washed

I'd have nothing to say about your lord commander, if he himself stopped talking. Remember when you said he'd be driving for red bull next year. Quite brilliant. Cheers

Toyota Kazoo Racing??? Problems getting Ferrari parts in the future??? What could possibly go wrong??? Probably Nothing unless HAAS start challenging the Scuderia.
Bad races results from Checo Perez / reasons Monaco / DNF / Collision caused by Magnussen who took our Hulkenberg as well. Canada / DNF / Accident. Wet driving Mistake British Grand Prix / 17th. Wrong strategy / mistake on tires selection Azerbaijan / 17th. While Perez was leasing the race, Sainz moved out of his usual racing line crashing into Perez, according to the FIA report. Mexico / 17th. False start + Lawson incidents Brazil 11th. Wrong tire management / no change to warm tires in between the 2 starts. Again Lawson touches Perez car and send him off track, loosing positions. Qatar / DNF. Mechanical failure, overpower delivery. According to FIA reports. Abu Dhabi / DNF. Botas crashes into left back side. Plus there were mechanical issues with the clutch.
Checo indeed must have known that he shouldn't have been at RB that long. He should have plied his trade and sponsors on Williams long before the Sainz move where he had a 99% chance against Sargeant. That would have left open the toxic seat to Sainz. He is experienced at the politics in F1 , frankly he has been a fool.
I think you're being too harsh on Checo by comparing him to Max. It’s not fair, considering Max receives more support from the team. Meanwhile, the other driver on the opposite side of the garage has less experienced mechanics and engineers. You should read Mark Webber's book to understand the power dynamics within Red Bull better. Checo literally has to deny being a second driver to keep sponsors happy and maintain Red Bull’s image. That said, I agree with you about Red Bull’s reasons for dropping Checo. It clearly comes down to driving styles. Both drivers are on opposite poles: one prefers understeer and the other oversteer. Red Bull needs a driver with a style similar to Max's since it's the last season under the current regulations. This might be their final opportunity to win the driver and constructor championship. I doubt they will continue winning in 2026, especially with so many people leaving Red Bull. You should check LinkedIn; they have more job offers than the new Cadillac team. It seems like a toxic environment, as even George Russell mentioned. But who knows?
It's all the chat from the Checo camp that begets empathy or a lack thereof. Some criticism has got to come his way if in one moment it's "I'm not leaving" memes on Instagram, and the next you're actually leaving. He's an unreliable narrator at best.
isnt MV33 just using the fastest possible driving style? He is the best in adjusting the car because he loves doing this stuff. Name me an another F1 driver doing Sim-races in the freetime.
@@Yahniboy I think most drivers aim to find a balance between understeer and oversteer. No one wants to experience complete understeer, as it is the slowest, which can be easily proven mathematically. Using Max Verstappen as the benchmark for top oversteer, Checo Pérez represents the extreme opposite. Just look at the 2022 onboards when the car was more neutral, and Checo had the confidence- the difference in their entry curve is remarkable. They clearly represent two extreme poles
@@TheRackuipedu Well, that's another skill set that Max has over his opponents, which I think helps him adapt to the instability at the back and improve front grip, aligning more with his preferences. There's nothing wrong with being the best at oversteer style. I think being super sensitive at the front makes a lot of sense in terms of raw speed and lap time, especially in races with few curves and long straights. Most teams would likely want Max on their team because it's easier to build an unstable fast car than a stable fast car. Instability and maneuverability are the headaches of control engineers. Haha.
At least Horner is consistent. He signed DR when he was underperforming for other teams and dropped. He then signed Perez when he was not performing. And then held on to both for far too long hoping that things would turn and he'd been shown to have made a great decision.
I think the Red Bull was a terrible car, the problem of Checo was, he did not tell he was not as good as Max to drive the car. Too much proud of Checo to admit that Max is Max better in driving an unstable car.
Let’s not forget Checo has done a lot more than many drivers, has won even in a crap car. And he has won more than Noreis in the last years. Regarding Aston wining championships….that won’t happen.
I’m surprised you haven’t got a clue about inter team politics at Redbull. You think Perez just forgot how to drive? Redbull is and always was a one car team. You should read Webbers book about his life At RedBull. Pretty insightful as to how they favor one driver over the other. If Perez does come back he will show his talents once all. And Perez wasn’t lying he did have a contract thru 2026 so yeah in fact he would be driving thru 2026. If not Redbull pays up.

I suppose it’s not too hard to forget that 2024 F2 vice-champion Isack Hadjar is joining the F1 grid in 2025, courtesy of Checo’s departure.
