I remember seeing them around during the vtuber boom a few years ago, specifically their GTA stuff so I knew who she was referring to and yes they do still stream. Also it was funny seeing chat going "what?!"
I reckon a lot of VTuber fans now don't have a single clue about such people who were around during the boom. People like Virtual Obaachan, Baacharu, Fuji Aoi, Nora Cat, Nojaloli Ojisan, etc. etc... some of them aren't around anymore either because of burnout or the change in climate when it comes to content format. Also lots of indies back then that didn't survive long enough to make it where VTubers are now. Makes me sad thinking about it.

Lots of good content, but I think the part that stuck with me the most is Subaru showing respect for Kiara for being involved in so many projects. The holidays weeks for example went bananas with so much stuff going on in Kiara's channel, and it's nice that it caught the attention of her senpais (and of course of us viewers too!)

Holotalk gets better with each episode. the addition of the clip is a fun one. and I like how at times the camera focuses on the guest. It could also focus on kiara when you translate something... I wasn't able to pay full attention on the stream, but I enjoyed listening to it. This was really fun and intresting to get to know subaru-chan more and see her point of view on things.

A close up shot is a really neat idea! You can totally add something so the background doesn't feel empty when closing up though, like the question you are asking, her name or small thumbnail of you at the corner reacting etc. Also, Thanks for letting us know Subaru better!

I don't get much of a chance to experience the Japanese girls, on account of not understanding Japanese and not being a fan of watching streams where you can't understand what is being said. These Holotalk streams give me a nice sampling of everything I am missing out on and to learn more about the Japanese girls. I like it. Thanks Kiara, keep up the good work.
It's only one as far as I know -unfortunately- . I think Kiara misunderstood Subaru as referring to multiple people but Subaru was actually referring to a channel specifically called Virtual Grandma (or Virtual Obaachan in Japanese).
Subaru has quickly become my favourite HoloJP member over the last couple of weeks. She has such an energetic personality, and just like Kiara, she always puts a smile on my face, even though I don't understand Japanese at all. Her streams are really entertaining. So when I heard Shuba was the next guest I was super excited and this episode really delivered again. Thank you Kiara for this wonderful episode and the continued effort that is Holotalk.

As if fluently speaking 3 different languages wasn't impressive enough. The amount of multi-tasking going on here is _genuinely_ incredible. 51:55 in all honesty when i started watching subaru, i thought she was meant to be a duck. when i started she had that grey outfit she has on but without the stuff on top, and when i saw people calling her a duck in the comments it's like... i could see it, i don't know why but i feel like that's what a female duck would look like as an anime girl, lol. then after a couple videos i noticed the ducks with caps around her and i was like oh so she actually is a duck, cool. then i saw a video where she was like "i'm not a duck but you guys have brainwashed me for so long into finally accepting it" and i was like "whaaat? she wasn't a duck?". the first time i actually saw subaru was on a 3d collab with korone and okayu and i didn't pay much attention to subaru because i didn't like the sporty soccer outfit, as an introvert i typically avoid extraverts so i just naturally avoided her until i rediscovered her now, and now she's my favorite idol and the only extrovert i don't mind being around. i should take the phrase "don't judge a book by it's cover" a little more seriously i guess Dx
This holotalk is the most helpful content that damps down the language barrier between us and Hololive talents for sure . Besides personnaly it is also the very reason that compels me to learn Japanese . Because in such a stream which is like talkshow , I think our idols become even more gorgeus than usual . And their conversation with our lovely host Kiara is so fantastic while I appriciate our hosts great effort for handling this content and maintaining a joyful communication between guest and viewers , with every question and every dialogue I become eager and keen for understanding in the first place what our idols are saying . I mean I must learn Japanese while even English is my second language it will become harder but also knowing that I am a shinobi ... Nothing is impossible anymore . I'm glad that whole "Shinobi" situation from Subaru was finally said in the show. I guess in the end, it's pretty much boiled down to fear itself honestly.

This is now one of my top shows under the Hololive banner, it does so much to help peek over the language barrier to see what's on the JP side of things.

Literally, "once it passed through the throat you'll forget the hotness/pungency". This phrase was meant to warn against people forgetting what it was like during hard time once it's over, along with those who have helped them through. But apparently Subaru mistaken its meaning to be that any tough situation will end and you'll turn out okay. I guess that was how Subaru got her resilience and confidence.
Edit: On second thought, I wouldn't say Subaru "mistaken", but rather a matter of whether a person naturally sees a glass of water half-empty or half-full.
The show is getting better and better! Subaru is a really interesting and energetic girl and she meshes with Kiara perfectly.

You're lucky, because it just happened. The full stream is in this channel. Reine and Subaru was speaking in English most of the time so no worries about missing some context. Just sit back and enjoy the mayhem.

A close up shot is a really neat idea! You can totally add something so the background doesn't feel empty when closing up though, like the question you are asking, her name or small thumbnail of you at the corner reacting etc. Also, Thanks for letting us know Subaru better!
I second that! It's nice to have it change it up a bit but is still missing something. Maybe add even something that you cannot see in the regular shot?

It's only one as far as I know -unfortunately- . I think Kiara misunderstood Subaru as referring to multiple people but Subaru was actually referring to a channel specifically called Virtual Grandma (or Virtual Obaachan in Japanese).

She has such an energetic personality, and just like Kiara, she always puts a smile on my face, even though I don't understand Japanese at all. Her streams are really entertaining. So when I heard Shuba was the next guest I was super excited and this episode really delivered again. Thank you Kiara for this wonderful episode and the continued effort that is Holotalk.

1:09:53 Speaking of mangoes, there's a mango from Australia that is my absolute favorite. It's called Bowen Special or Kensington Pride. Mostly grown in northern and central Queensland and Northern Territory. I haven't tried any Japanese mangoes but all other mangoes you can get in Australia are bland compared to a Bowen Special.
I didn't know Undertale was such a big thing for her too! The few translated videos of her playthrough I've seen is some of my favorite content Hololive has put out in general. That's awesome to learn

51:55 in all honesty when i started watching subaru, i thought she was meant to be a duck. when i started she had that grey outfit she has on but without the stuff on top, and when i saw people calling her a duck in the comments it's like... i could see it, i don't know why but i feel like that's what a female duck would look like as an anime girl, lol. then after a couple videos i noticed the ducks with caps around her and i was like oh so she actually is a duck, cool. then i saw a video where she was like "i'm not a duck but you guys have brainwashed me for so long into finally accepting it" and i was like "whaaat? she wasn't a duck?". the first time i actually saw subaru was on a 3d collab with korone and okayu and i didn't pay much attention to subaru because i didn't like the sporty soccer outfit, as an introvert i typically avoid extraverts so i just naturally avoided her until i rediscovered her now, and now she's my favorite idol and the only extrovert i don't mind being around. i should take the phrase "don't judge a book by it's cover" a little more seriously i guess Dx
This holotalk is the most helpful content that damps down the language barrier between us and Hololive talents for sure . Besides personnaly it is also the very reason that compels me to learn Japanese . Because in such a stream which is like talkshow , I think our idols become even more gorgeus than usual . And their conversation with our lovely host Kiara is so fantastic while I appriciate our hosts great effort for handling this content and maintaining a joyful communication between guest and viewers , with every question and every dialogue I become eager and keen for understanding in the first place what our idols are saying . I mean I must learn Japanese while even English is my second language it will become harder but also knowing that I am a shinobi ... Nothing is impossible anymore . Thank you Kiara for your great work and effort and lovely content you make.

It would be even better if we could keep the question on screen during the guest's answer.
