School in itself is a pretty much huge responsability + leaving in a whole new town feels like moving out of your country. I quit my hometown next year to go to college in Paris, and it felt like a whole new dimension (even if it was still my country). Having to do every house chores by yourself, having to find new people and a new place to call "home", dealing with your mental illness by yourself but still needing to get your laundry done because no one can do it for you anymore etc. I mean, I used to ask myself why I'd feel like trash and so burned out after school (especially after exam week) when I thought I was doing fine, but now I realize that it is SO normal to be emotionally exhausted when all of those things rely on you and only you. But yeah, we will get through this. We have to. Good Luck! And if you feel the need to take a break, just take it. Try not to feel guilty about it, as long as you do your best and have no regret, you're doing great. Byeeeee.
i admire u for keeping it real with how hard sticking to a routine can be. often times people or influencers would just show the goods parts of what they do and seldomly show the challenges. im rooting for u!! keep it up!!!!
i know how you feel when you were talking about doing what you're passionate about and want to do versus what you NEED to do. it's so hard to try to make time for hobbies and passions when you're already trying to just stay afloat in classes, social life, extracurriculars, etc. that it's so easy to stretch yourself out too thin and burn out easily. please remember to set some time out for yourself too and that it's okay not to do everything perfectly!! 💜💜

The algorithm recommended this video and I liked it a lot. I definitely feel burned out (and the semester just started!). I am sophomore at SC (Annenberg) and the hustle culture started before I even arrived freshman year/flew halfway around the world. American life for uni students is about prestige (clubs/organisations, internships, personal connections) and if you ain’t got that, you are nobody. I enjoyed the diarrhoea message at the end and hoping I can take my second year one cute bento box at a time. I hope your time at SC has improved and you aren’t taking anymore finance courses.
i'm a freshman but i scheduled afternoon classes too, i can get up early just fine but my brain doesn't turn on until noon so i feel you on that one lol. on hating running, imo no form movement should ever make you hate doing it. so if running isn't your thing, maybe find some other form of exercise you might actually enjoy! anyway, i don't think you come off as ungrateful, it's normal to be a bit underwhelmed, or uninspired with life. love how honest and straightforward you are in your vlogs, i hope you can feel inspired again!

i really think you need a car, i know around USC the traffic is putried, but I really think if you have a car you can get to cool places like long beach, torrence, santa monica for little weekend recharges. I am born and raised in LA and its really hard to stay motivated in the same space. I have faith in you and keep going!

Hey Lindsiann, I’m sorry your feeling burned out. I went through something very similar the past few months, and what has helped me was sticking to eating/sleeping well, and making time for hobbies or activities that I genuinely love doing. It has helped me little by little, in ways that I could not have imagine. Hope that helps!
Also don’t be afraid to reach out to your support group for help if you need it.
