Sweden have had only ballads and schlagers for the last 25 years... and nothing else... at least we have ballads, new age, rock, r'n'b, schlager, latino, african, electro songs and eurodance :) My ranking is: 1: 1995: "Nocturne" - fantastic song, amazing composition. The best winner of all time. A timeless CLASSIC!!!! 10/10 2: 1993: "Alle Mine Tankar" - this fragile ballad is amazing in every way, and i LOVE the greek element to it:) 10/10 3: 2009: "Fairytale" - one of the best entries EVER in ESC. Though it is soooo overplayed that people have lost interest in it. but it won with a good reason. There were NO better songs that decade in Eurovision. 10/10 4: 2013: "Feed You My Love" - ok 2013 was not a part of this clip, but i include it still. Its THE best electrosong ever to have taken part in ESC. LOVE LOVE LOVE. 10/10 5: 2005: "In My Dreams". NORWAY introduced rock and roll for REAL in Eurovision. This is SOOO catchy! 10/10 6: 2006: "Alvedansen". Unlike the other Scandinavian countries Norway dared to take part with a song in our native language,a nd what a beautiful one it is as well. Pure magic. 10/10 7: 1996: "I Evighet" - This is such a grand ballad. And by far the best performed vocally on the night. I loved it. 10/10 8: 2014: "Silent Storm" - A beautiful ballad, and the best of the year in recorded version. Should have been top5. 9/10 9: 2011: "Haba Haba" - Norway doing another FIRST in Eurovision. Supercatchy and charming song. LOVE. 9/10 10: 2008: "Hold On Be Strong" - Norway doing r'n'b/soul in Eurovision. Supernice song and really good artist. 9/10 11: 1999: "Living My Life Without You" - contemporary and catchy popsong, really good on CD. LOve it. 9/10 12: 2012: "Stay" - another contemporary song, this time eurodance and supercatchy, but a grower. 8/10 13: 1998: "Alltid Sommer" - awesome song, but i prefer the original English version "All I Ever Wanted Was You". 8/10 14: 2003: "I'm Not Afraid to Move On" - its cute and very different. Well deserved top 5 :) 8/10 15: 1994: "Duett" - Powerful duet, one of the best duets ever in ESC probably. 7/10 16: 1992: "Visjoner" - A really really nice song:) But looked weird on stage. 7/10 17: 2000: "My Heart Goes Boom" - Catchy, but very dated song. Forgotten by now. 4/10 18: 2010: "My Heart Is Yours" - could have been good, but both looked and sounded weird... better on CD. 4/10 19: 2007: "Ven A Bailar Conmigo" - this type of song has nothing to do with Norway or the artist... but somewhat catchy. 4/10 20: 2004: "High" - Swedish crap as i call this... almost everything was wrong about this one in my opinion. 2/10 21: 2001: "On My Own" - such a pretentious ballad - and a scary looking singer... i never got to like this one... but vocally strong. 2/10 22: 1990: "Brandenburger Tor" - I dont like this song... i find it to calculated and therefore fake... 1/10. 23: 1991: "Mrs Thompson" - so repetetive... never ever ever ever liked it... 1/10 24: 1997: "San Fransisco" - Wow this is the worst Norwegian entry ever... 1997 is by far my favorite ESC edition, but Norway blew it. I hate it and it is probably the most well deserved 0 pointer ever. 0/10 So in other words: Only 5 of the last 24 entries have been totally crap and then another 3 was not that good in my opinion. so i would rate 16 of Norways last 24 entries as GREAT:)
