Thinking out loud why not test fit the base plate first then start hooking things up after you know and pre drill a couple holes in it. Also does this antenna also pickup signals in FM?
GREAT Video!!! Tons of useful tips and information. Thanks
Thank you Aron! Glad you found it of use!!!!
I just installed mine. I believe you need sealant between the plate and the antenna before attaching the bolts.
11:30 I seal the base to the antenna from the underside per the instructions and 22:40ish I seal from the topside per the instructions. I don't think there is a need to seal between. In the 6 months it has been installed I haven't had an issue with leaks and it has rained A LOT with it installed. Of course sealing between couldn't hurt but it is truly unnecessary. Thanks for the comment Ram Ram. :)

Well does it work any better?
I recently purchased an RV with this same antenna. It works great except the signal finder. I removed the signal finder box, and replaced with a replacement from King. Still no signal finder. Signal is comparable to our old bat wing for those asking about reception. No better, no worse.
Do you have your booster on? The little lights won’t light up unless that is on.
@@ziggypuppyproductions7453 Booster is on. Antenna gets all channels I should get. Just no power to the signal finder.
Darin Ridgeway it’s been a while since I installed it but if I remember right the antenna cables had to be hooked up a certain way too. Did you look at the KJ website for installation instructions and verify the cable routes were correct?
@@ziggypuppyproductions7453 No. Was installed when I purchased the camper. No book for the antenna.
@@chloesamclutch Sounds like it could have been installed wrong if you replaced the part and it still doesn't work. See if this helps. kingconnect.com/content/Product%20Manuals/LEGACY/OA8200%20OA8201%20Troubleshooting%20Guide.pdf
