The Kepler Telescope was built for one purpose; to look at a certain patch in the Milky Way in search of exoplanets.
The exoplanet hunter observed over hundreds of thousands of stars and discovered thousands of exoplanets during its lifetime.

@@robertarrowood3651 I used to hold that view about our presence here, I don’t know if I agree with it anymore. It’s possible that we are a benefit to the planet too. I’m still unsure if our unearthing of the carbon that our planet has swallowed with the dinosaurs dying out is not just throwing the planet back into balance to what it was previously, when our reptilian and mammalian giants ruled the world. I’ve got a lot of farmers in my family and they are raving about the size of their crop and the speed of its growth due to the excess carbon. While others are complaining about a lack of rain due to the change in climate. It’s very interesting and hard to deduce if we are doing something wrong or right… but I will say this though, the excessive use of masks to prevent the pandemic is definitely destructive. Imagine believing in fairy tales. The earth is flat.
Maybe they are in the Dino Era. Who knows.
I'd imagine, somewhere out there, there's a world of alien lifeforms that have not 1, but 2 planets of comparable size in the goldilocks zone, meaning they not only have twice the space to grow and thrive, but also twice the resources that we do. These lifeforms literally have the galactic equivalent of a '2nd life', meaning if one planet gets hit by a world-ender, then they still have 1 more planet to go. The odds of 1 planet getting hit by something that big in 150 million years? Is astronomically small given our own planet's experiences.. The odds of getting 2 getting hit in the same 150 million year timespan? Is so low it may as well be impossible.
As a result, this lifeform would most likely be far older, far more numerous, and far better equipped than we ever were or will become, given they have access to 2 homeworlds.
Imagine this that one of those planets contain life that possibly discoverd Earth, and are possibly as interested as we are ....

I find it odd if your statement is 100% because If this isn’t common sense then I’m obviously… missing something? I think we should take the idea of what’s out in the Universe out of the box of “must be like Earth” in some way or it’s not as interesting. We need to separate the understanding of how ‘life’ may work in other worlds from the idea of us possibly being able to colonize these possibilities. I’m assuming that could be an underlying issue of our focus in our pursuits. I think there’s a real possibility that we’re not openly visited by “aliens” because our planet could possibly be deadly to most life that has these abilities and that’ll obviously be ‘vise versa’. Just my opinions. Not facts.
@@mrspankytank2858 Well, I also find it odd, but go have a look, until recently we only considered viable the planets that had water, light and oxygen, but even on our own planet that's not true, so we're slowly changing what we consider to be a good environment for life, but many theories still take for granted our own vision not only of life, but of evolution, so that any "evolved civilization" would take the same course as ours, including not only technology, but some sorts of technology, etc. I find your point interesting, though, even if it's only speculation

For you funeral you could have your body flown in to space that would be an awesome funeral 👍
@@crabbingclammingboatcampin4962 what a good comment 👍
Sometimes I wonder if we are just small molecules of a big being just like the molecules in our bodies. Looking at the starts is like looking in our bodies. Time might be different from us as a whole and our small molecules
Parallel Universes confirmed.
Its so fascinating to think about the space and beyond but then i remembered i still have lots of homework to be done
Same bro... 😠😠😢😢😭😭😭
I feel your pain man
Ifeel you, this is so true
shit thanks for reminding me
Yes
"Born too late to explore the earth, born too early to explore the space."
What are we doing here lol
We are the leap towards said exploration of space, we are the founding fathers of zero g 69ing, we are HUMAN!
Explore the ocean
We are here to enjoy what we have now.
Ruining the explored and unexplored.
There is more to life than discovering what others have built.
Beautiful scene
With all this money, equipment and researches on stars and galaxies, there are still people think earth is flat.. And earth is the center of universe..
Really strange people..
Imagine someone watching this and reading the comments a thousand years from now whilst living on another planet...
@@elijahfluw4347 so cool there huh?
I wonder if 1000 years from now any humans will exist on this earth at the rate we;re going!!!!
crazy
@@srobertson6386 dont know about humans but i dont see yt being relevant at tht age of time
Thousands. Probably 300 years from now
NASA: sends a 96 megapixel camera to space
Samsung: *Giggles*
NOKIA Monster's camera 8 gigapixiles.
It's a joke I know but still, mind that it was launched back in 2009. At that date Samsung's best phone camera was an 8 MP and also I'm not even going to mention the sensor size & capabilities lol.
By today's latest & greatest that'd mean sending some gigapixels to space :D
Megapixels don't mean jack shit.
@@Skrenja they surely do mean as the last step of the whole process. That means how much data you can store at a time so, for the optimal results everything that feeds it the data should be made properly too.
Oh and if everything is fine but the megapixels, then you'll have a great but low resolution image in the end so it means lost info in the process as you cheaped out on that step xd
@@ccelik97 High mega pixels are the definition of diminishing returns. After a certain point, they are pretty much meaningless in terms of consumer or prosumer cameras. (I am not talking NASA here.) Low ligh performance, clarity, dynamic range and color accuracy are far more important.
I didn't realize that they put a GoPro on Matthew McConaughey in Interstellar
Imagine someone saying in the future back in my day we had something called covid-19
"We're on a floating ball in space, with no other friends for literally as far as we've researched. WE've made up a system on this planet to make things in order, creating jobs and society. People who are too focused on just trying to make money forget the actual reality of where we are." Thought this was cool
I’ve used that answer on a test I took and the teacher was like “Damn that’s deep!”
Yeah, it is nice to speak like that when you have something. I don't have enough and I want more. I am working to earn that honestly.
We are the ruler of our sun system
@@murdr3860 so you plagiarized
Yeah we are a lame ass planet
Humans:
"Ah yes, Another planet to slowly destroy"
Not necessarily. People could establish environment friendly societies, and even if they didn't migrating from planet to planet could give planets time to heal and be returned to later.
Life cannot persist without resulting waste.
Yeah ppl keep slowly killing earth by putting trash on the ground.
